Hey gang ... probably mentioned it before, but we are getting ready to head south to Taos, NM for some R&R for a few days. Will try to keep up but the wifi is less than stellar as I recall. This is an annual trek to see some friends,  visit some family, do some hiking and overeat as much as possible.

Carl,

Prayers for you, your family and especially Amy. So did they re schedule or what?

Thanks all.  No reschedule.   We're in recovery now.  It's funny.  We went into recovery and my wife and i both recognized the area she recovered in 18 years ago after her first surgery.  Amy is now awake and talking.   We'll all go home sometime today but I don't know exactly when.  It's a 2 hour drive so hopefully theyll give her something for pain for the ride home.

Told him a year ago, You better make sure those Lug nut studs are correct.........:emotion-41:

Farmer just called and are upsetting my plans for my direction of travel in the morning.

Seem's wheel came off wile towing.........

Need to inform wife we will be heading north, look's like a day of roadside stand's, might as well hit the Casino, indians need to eat too.

Rain and more rain....persistent storm hanging off the coast.  Had about 8 dry hours yesterday and the brick mason came by LF's place and replaced the bricks under the threshold of new duplex and triplex doors leading out to the patio.  I covered the brick work with plastic after a drizzle started 7 hours later.  The original brickwork that we replaced did not have a pitch allowing some water to get in.  Paint and then that project is completed.  A mason, one helper, three hours $550:unsure:

The sound guys were at LF's house for most of the day installing the 65" 4K, Sony and wiring up the bottom floor sound system.  She had a couple of Martin Logan speakers left so I had them change out a couple of speakers in the book case (RBH...made in China).

Cooked filets and asparagus on the Green Egg with a couple of Jack Blacks and watched a blu ray she had on hand....Reaves and Morgan in Chain Reaction.  Sound guys synced the system with an app on her phone....works sweet.  She can watch a movie in the A/V room while streaming Pandora through the rest of lower level:mellow:

A good finish to a rough start.  Moving all the vintage gear out of the cabinets I had the R2R in hand when the cord/plug caught in a crack and stopped me short....pulling it out of my grip.  I sacrificed my body trying to cushion the fall.  A gash on my thumb and a small ding on the Teac corner:(

Anyway that's what I've been up to......

We had to wait for the computer to be fixed, yes.  There are 12 surgery suites I believe.  Each one is set up for that individual Dr's specialty.  Each room has it's own specialized techs and nurses.  Each room is booked for the entire day so we just had to wait.  I feel bad for the people that were scheduled late in the day for that room as they'll be there quite a while.
