Good morning from Hong Kong.   It's 4:45 am (04:45) in Hong Kong; 4:45 pm (16:45) back in Michigan.  Today I go to China after a try to get some coffee.

While trying to to get some sleep after the 18 hour flight, I heard strange noises from my luggage.  It seems preparations are underway for a homecoming celebration by my Pono player, Samsung phone, iPad, Klipsch IEMs, Sennheiser headphones and Kindle.  Kinda like "coals to Newcastle."

Enjoy the weekend.

I was going to call you to see if you got your visa all worked out... :D I'm glad you are there. There are Starbucks all over if you are interested. Definitely one at "The Peak" if you end up getting up there. You should have a great time... but take pictures whenever possible.

have a nice time Diz. Take care of your bride Mark -- a little casino action will take away the pain. Carl hope Amy has recovered and doing wonderfully.

went to the Huntington Beach Air Show today.  Sat on the beach for three hours watching planes do their thing. A Bi-Plane with some sort of jet engine on it--pretty cool. Thunderbirds were there.  Here is a link that shows the lineup.

Went with my daughter and her family. My son-in-law tells me of a friend of his that moved to Bend, Oregon and now owns a brewery there.  Looks like a nice joint ... http://www.worthybrewing.com/the-restaurant.html

Happy Sunday gang. Busy weekend between carpet installation and last minute yardwork and a sick pup. Baxter is running a temperature and likely has a kidney infection. Keeping our fingers crossed after antibiotics and a very expensive vet visit yesterday. Spoiling him more than usual.

Mark ... sorry to hear of your wife's accident but glad she is getting the help she needs. Spoil the heck out of her!

Will try to check back. Cheers folks.

Morning, and a good Sunday to all....

Not much going on today... just hanging around the house....... I got a set of Chorus II's on CL and some guy wants to trade me a set of KG 4.2's and some cash...... ahhhhh I don't really need any KG's....... I never thought I would say this, But I don't need any more speakers:huh:.....

Oh, wait a minute....... this is too funny, as I was typing this I was googling KG 4.2's and came across a post that someone put on the Klipsch site 13 hours ago about KG 4.2's....... well it's the same guy. He just posted them in the garage sale... lol lol

I just don't know what I'd do with the KG's, as it is the Chorus II's are living in my daughters bed room with the EV's and KP's and all the other crapp I got.... I don't know???

Good morning gang...........and good Monday to all.......

Yup getting cool out, trees are changing and even the leaves are starting to fall. that means the battle of the leaves will begin soon:angry2:

Put all the Tiki god statues away yesterday, starting to clear the deck off. Didn't put the chairs away yet, might still have some nice days coming.

Couple jobs at the shop today, not a whole lot going on. That just means we should be home early.

Gonna roll.... a good day to all...

Good morning Gents.  Had another couple over to LF's house Saturday night for dinner and couples pool.  LF and I won 3 out of 5 games with a truly remarkable shot on the 8.  Around 2 am I woke with a fever and shivering but am finally on the mend.  It's kind of like how you feel after having one of Carl's slushies:huh:  Missed out on a beautiful Sunday when I had planned to take the new car out for a spin.

Been a little slow on the forum.  Guess everyone is out enjoying the fall weather.

Have nixed the thought of supercharging the S2000 due to cost $7-10 k.  May settle for a cold air intake from K&N for a 3-5 hp bump and better sound.  Anyone ever done one?  Recommended?

Hope Carl's daughter and Mark's wife are healing well.

Well you worker bees go out there and make us proud.  Retirees....time to turn over:P

Greetings from PRC,

Responding to the need to protect travelers from an avalanche of AARP terrorists, the TSA at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) confiscated my contact lens solution and my Harry's shaving cream.  Just think of the havoc I could have caused with all of that liquid.

During the 18 hour flight I managed to break my glasses.  I brought a backup pair, but the inability to use my contacts became an issue.  With some difficulty, I was able get "imported" (hopefully from USA) Alcon solution.  The question is, if you're warned not to drink the tap water, does it make sense to put this stuff in your eyes?  This old dog is too old to learn the trick of working with a guide dog.

BTW, the food so far has been plentiful and excellent.  Plain coffee is hard to find at the Eurasia Hotel, but a double espresso serves the purpose.

Go CUBS!

You might be able to find Nestle's bottled water... you just never know, though.

The train station in Shenzhen had x-ray machines for the luggage. After going through and grabbing my bags a security guard was yelling at me about the metal can of shaving cream in my bag. I motioned like I was shaving and he nodded and waved me on. I suppose a metal cylinder was suspicious, but not enough to have me open my bag to have a look.

Sorry to hear about your glasses.

Watch out for food from street vendors...
