I spent the morning getting a physical.  A tear in one arm muscle from lifting dumb bells ( no not Carl) and a referral for physical therapy.  Looks like I will be well enough to give some martini lessons after all:P

Shots fired!  :)

The inner ear has two structures the Cochlea for hearing and the Vestibular which helps you maintain balance. Sounds like you are having issues with the Vestibular system. I'd get a 2nd opinion from an ENT.

An inner ear infection can affect balance.

I've been to two ENTs, both with completely different opinions. I think I'll try a third. The second ENT says an ear infection is extremely painful, and I would know I have one. I haven't had any ear pain.

Where is Luther and how goes the job search?

I might have to start drinking to deal with all of this, where's that bottle of Duggan's Mark sent me:D

Ceptor - possible vertigo? From what I understand that can be debilitating. And you being airborne on ladders/platforms? Doesn't sound like a good combination.

Good luck -

The ENT said it wasn't Vertigo, but I'm not sure how much I can trust what they have to say. Vertigo can be treated and cured.

My job does send me 30' or more off the ground sometimes, I usually send my employee up there, I'll be the ground guy. I usually set up scaffolding to get up there. A lift or platform doesn't work vey well for my type of work. Thanks....Bill

I hope you get to the bottom of that ear issue and quick.  i went round and round with doctors for years about my Asthma.  It was so out of control, i guess i probably missed two years of my life because i didn’t have enough wind to get out of bed.

Finally, i was at a VA Hospital getting allergy shots and this doctor there told me how gastrointestinal problems can trigger Asthma. He checked me out and began focusing on that and suddenly I was feeling better.  Seems that it’s possible to breathe microscopic amounts of stomach acid and that was giving my lungs a fit.

Keep on the doctors until they figure this out.

I don’t know what the place is called; but, i heard of a special hospital here in California (Santa Barbara area i believe) where people go for diagnosis when the doctors can’t figure out what is ailing them.

You can give lessons all weekend.  This year I'll watch someone else tend bar and I'll sit and enjoy myself.  Thanks!!!!  I'll do plenty of critical tasting, you can count on that.  I don't think you know what you've gotten yourself into but I appreciate it!  Bring lots of glasses.  Last year I brought 8 (only broke 1) and had to keep washing but I know you'll do a better job.

I saw my family doctor 8 times, a Neurologist 5 times, a balance specialist twice, and an ENT

Well the good news is they didn't find anything else wrong with you, except for your specific problem your doing fine.

Hope they figure it out, hate feeling dizzy with loss of balance when it's not expected and self induced.   :o

Ceptorman, my problem was earwax but, sounds like they had a good look this time.

Makes a body wonder about 2nd and third opinions.

The original ENT came highly recommended, maybe he had a bad day. I will try another.

Thanks Steve. I do feel a little better. It's just the fact that these episodes pop up quickly, and I might up in the air when one happens.

I guess that's why they call it the practice of medicine, they're still practicing:D

^^^^  Gotta love the guy listening to music while sitting behind his speakers.  Tarheel, that kind of looks like a younger version of you.

Come on - those are his rear surrounds!  Cornwalls out front! But he's lookin' for more than just listening to tunes if you catch my drift!?

He was ahead of his time with wireless speakers.  The items on the speakers are antennas, not lamps.

84?  Ouch Carl.  What did he do to deserve such treatment?

That Garrard record changer looks to track at about a pound.  That way, when you play the records that are carefully placed on the floor, you can hear both sides at once after the fifth playing.

The VA.

Iv been once in 40+ years and that was only because they called me in.

Once there i found they wanted to Stick me.

Some kind of Agent Orange research project, promply told them to go to hell.
