How can 2 things that taste terrible by themselves taste good together?

The negatives cancel each other out, then it taste good.

I always thought my Dad was crazy when he covered his cottage cheese with apple sauce, it didn't sound good and I'm sure it didn't taste good.

Until one day I tried it.....oh. my, it is one of my favorites now.

Now that it's summer, try this.  Cubed watermelon, chopped red onion, and fresh mint.  Combine in a glass bowl, let sit for about 30 minutes, stir and serve.  You'll like it.

I will try that. My wife is always looking for new ways to assemble food.

A negative times a negative IS a positive.  I guess that makes sense.

Sounds like you made that up.

I make a concoction of diced mango, diced onion, garlic, tomato, bell pepper, hot pepper, cuke, lime juice, apple and enough salt to push it from fruity to savory.

Oldtimer prolly does something similar. On Kauai, mango was like zukes. If you had them, you had a LOT of them.

I think our area is skipping spring. It snowed about  2 weeks ago, and for today 88 and muggy! I saw where parts of Texas has been in the 90s all week.

When was the nice spring weather?

Off to make my breakfast shake 😀
