sounds like the stuff we pulled on the new guys on the ship.

On the Air side we would send the new squadron guys out for "A Bucket of Prop Wash" or "100 Feet of Flight Line". 🤣

No, since I nearly always worked with steel, and very rarely used a table saw.  Of course, motorbike engines are made of aluminum, but you would not typically find a table saw in a dealership Service Department.

Funny thing is the material was for motorcycle parts. Transmission doors for Harley Sporsters. Been in that business for almost 40 years.

Not when I get my turntable hooked back up!😈

*colon-scopage :(

Have to meet my new gut Dr. (gastro w/transplant experience) in Aug., mine retired. That is one of the things they love to schedule me for and I got out of it the last two years.

Another thing, I feel like cussing.

*(&#&% 5&(&^&%#@ cat

Takes me too long to cook bacon, don't ask why; but tell @oldtimer thanks for telling me to look for Wrights.

So I made eggs afterwards and put some of both in my last flour tortilla with a good stripe of siricha sauce on it.

Forgot to block the door with the boxes and walked away for less than one single minute.

At least I ate half of it, had to toss the rest after Thing One was licking at it when I came back in here.

@RandyH I can tell you one thing NWS has some bad records.

Looked up HUGO in Charlotte in `89 and it said we got 3. something inches of rain. YEA.... RIGHT

I recall the totals being between two feet and 30 inches for that about eight hours it took from TS hitting until TS leaving with the leading eyewall of the hurricane hitting me at twenty until 8am that morning. When I get moved I'll find and check my newspapers from the following week and see if I can find the correct amount.

I remember my meteorologist trained brother calling me to see if things were OK. He was watching the accumulated rainfall maps active during the event and it was into colors he had never seen before outside of catastrophic tropical system rainfall.

Same here, in another life, so long ago I never had kids I was a shipfitter.  Shipfitter= The people who cut, move and shape steel and with any luck end up with a ship.

At first glance it read “shoplifter”. Which in today’s world seems quite okay. Just keep it under a Grand and you’re good to go. Pat the little babes on head, ask them to be careful, point them to San Fran and send them on their way. Now ‘round these parts that would more than likely find you starring down the barrel of a 9mm - at the least.

you sure know how to build a Smoker big enough to feed an Army

Sold the big one and made a smaller one, the first one used to much wood.

Used it tonight for some salmon and asparagus, I love that stuff.

Sadly your right, but I would never shoplift, I spent all my life trying to stay out of jail and nothing I could steal was worth being locked up.

doesn't always happen.  consider Poor Ol' Jimmy. He sat alone in the moonlight and saw his woman kiss another man, so he takes a ladder and steals the stars from the sky, put on Sinatra and starts to cry.   As far as I know, Poor Ol' Jimmy didn't go to jail for that theft.  I have seen stars in the sky, so I guess he returned them, maybe that was part of a plea deal or something?

what a crappy job

I wonder how many times the doctor has been performing a colonoscopy and while watching the video screen says, "this show stinks."

it takes a lot to put my brother to sleep ... he was getting a colonoscopy once, they gave him the IV drugs and started the procedure. He was watching it on the monitor. halfway through the procedure he says to the doctor "what's that? is that normal?"  the doctor was shocked and said, "You're still awake?"

He's had a couple of instances where they try to knock him out and he stays awake and says that he doesn't even feel the slightest bit tired.  When he was getting an endoscopic ultrasound, I told the doctor that he doesn't sedate easily. She looked at him and said, "I'll put you to sleep.  Don't fight me, I WILL win that battle."  She was right .... he went out like a light.

I once went out with a girl who's mother worked for a proctologist so I asked her how do you go to lunch after doing that all day, she said you get use to it. :emotion-41:

Looking like plan A for me has fizzled. That's not really bad except for some stressed immediate family dynamics.

Plan B will have me 5 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway close to VA. Got my fingers crossed; it's 4 acres with a good spring and fast moving creek commencing from it. Evergreens and hardwoods. Got my scout/partner in crime checking it out.

A spring with a running creek?   That property’s not on a flood plain by any chance, is it?  It would be better to find that out before you sign any papers, instead of at 2 am when the rain is pouring down and your driveway is washed out.

Nope, five miles as a crow flies south, southeast of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's not all incline either but the small pond and the creek are dug in so to speak. Where the creek has dug into the earth looks four or more feet deep and you can see where previous flash flooding has altered the landscape a yard on either side in one of the pics.

Things are so up in the air right now with the super high prices on vehicles and housing right now I'm stuck here right now and collecting interest.

last time I had the finger test, I told the doctor "this is probably as bad for you as it is for me" and she shrugged and said, "you get used to it."  Maybe she does; but I sure don't.

Now, I once went to the doctor and my doctor was on vacation so Andre the Giant's twin brother was filling in.  I think that guy either did a wind up or got a running start before ripping me apart with his oversized finger.
