Tarheel
Never spent much on cables but it is part of our bylaws that we mention them every once in awhile! 2

Invidiosulus
I think @JohnA was the first person I saw in person using network cable. Ive got 4 cables braided together and then split into positive/negative on the H1’s. on the tri-amped LS I’ve currently got a single cat5 line for each run, so six total lines to each speaker, or 48, 24g strands to each speaker.
the real Duke Spinner
I do not like the idea of small conductors braided together I could be totally working due to " skin effect ,," But I just don't care I believe I am using 18 gauge Belden Jacket 4 conductor cable on one system And Zip cord on another

Marvel
Back to the zipcord.... I have some zipcord I used for probably 30-40 years or more. It started out flexible and has remained so. When moving to our newer house, I needed some longer cables so I checked a few places for more zipcord. The plastic/vinyl or whatever was on all of it was stiff. That's when I got the KnuKonceptz wire... incredibly flexible and easy to work with. The price was also not bad. 2

grasshopper
Man Down! I was baling out the kiddie pool ... moved the wrong way. Knees buckled. I'm able to "walk"/shuffle ... IF I can get up. Bathroom trips take a bit of pro-active anticipation... It's only about 15ft... but We're having fun now. Good thing I did my chores first. Feeling pretty stupid. I have a pump that I normally use to empty the pool... but NO, I can do this... dimass of course... I went to the Dr ... yesterday. We did have a nice visit. I can honestly say I enjoy seeing this Dr. That the Dr is female makes it much more pleasant. How many of you get hugs from your Dr? 2

Improvements due to increasing speaker wire/cable size usually only become obvious when you go up two sizes, i.e. 18-->14, 16-->12 AWG, and that's with typical speakers with mid-90s sensitivity numbers. With the very high sensitivity that's typical of Heritage Series speakers, the improvements may be less obvious, because less current is flowing most of the time. I'm not an Electrical Engineer, but in both my systems, living room and bedroom, the minimum speaker wire size is 12 AWG.

Now maybe it was a joke and maybe it wasn't but I'm sure glad they put the freeze on my throat before I swallowed that thing. Clean? Of course they are. Lawdy that's a thought that's NEVER left me! 😂 💪 Hate to spoil your next mouth-inserted inspection procedure, but Yes, they do use the same scopes for both ends of us, and No, sometimes the cleaning is not done properly... https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/article-abstract/621693#:~:text=Transient bacteremia during and, heart disease were recently released. 1
JohnJ
Get better @grasshopper ! No mouse will ever get my extra sharp cheddar. 12 gauge made my itty bitty speakers sound kind of muddy, that is the only way I could describe it. 14 was the sweet spot with the rich bass and midtones, still having good clarity for the top end. I ditched that 18 gauge that they gave me with my Infiniti's long ago real fast when a friend showed me the difference. 2
