Welllllll @Abomb, welcome to the Klipsch family!  See what the power of a mugga can do to ya in here?  Welcome to the rabbit hole.  😂😂  :)

Blah you say?  It is what it is?  Thing is, it's a proven fact.  The OTHER thing is, what to place where too help your system sound even better.  You're married I think so you know the routine.  😂

Echo? do you mean distinct slap echo? Many rooms because of shape/size and furnishings do not have objectionable slap echo. But what about reverb? And @Marvel brings up a good point, if uneven and bumpy it could add to diffusion. The smaller the bumps the higher the frequency of diffusion.

Many people prefer "live" rooms for audio REproduction. In PROduction it is a distraction. I prefer dead quiet, I can always add reverb.

But hey I'm no expert.

It's about your 'happy place."   It's ALL about where ya want to go ultimately.  All kinds of threads in here and many of these guys will step up.  It's a crazy place but ya gotta respect the "herd" cause they know a thing or three.  I've learned tons hangin in here stirrin the  pot.  Bestest Forum out there imo & a great bunch of like-minded guys.  :)

It's been a minute, recently got my Dual hooked up in the living as the basement is torn apart. But it's nice sitting here having a Cranberry martini and spinning some vinyl.

Okay...so...opinions certainly vary. Looking for some advice. Any thoughts and experience with getting the Heresy IVs up off of the floor? I have heard and read tons of conflicting opinions on this subject. I'm certainly game for trying but would love to get some expert opinions before spending money on stands. Granted, I certainly could try to rig something up on the cheap just to try. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience doing this before I  waste time and money on something that could possibly fix or make worse what very well could be a nonexistent problem.

Just thought to post my coffee setup

I roast my own beans

The Bezzera Strega lever machine is the evaluation machine sent to Australia, and I was tasked to evaluate its performance with the importer about 12 or so years ago. And I liked it so much that I purchased it

‘The PF handles are custom made for me and one of a kind

I'm not an expert, but did have Heresys on stands. This get the mid and tweeter closer to ear level, but reduced bass. Supplementing with a subwoofer may make it worthwhile.

I do have a Sub. Something to think about.

Hot and humid at 9:00am.

We're getting closer to the 90s around here, luckily as of now, it's just the low 80s (today a high of 79). My buddy is hiking the Appalachian trail and past through NC a couple weeks ago and has been making his way through Virginia.  I talked to him last night and he said it's like someone just turned on thr heat.

Washed the Bubble anyway and cleaned windows inside and out with Invisible Glass.  Ready for shower #1 for the day.

I slept in a little, still on my first cup of Kirkland French Roast.

I've got to vacuum the pool, clean the filter and finish a retaining wall, at least it's only to get to 79 today.

This guy had been hit on our street. Glad to see he's gone, but this is a bit worrisome. We're as far north as you can get in Georgia, and now we have to worry about armadillos?

They carry leprosy bacterium. It's started to be a problem in Florida for some time now. Both of my wife's parents had leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease. They were cured but not before the advent of antibiotics that make it easier to treat.

I have a pair on stools flanking my workbench. My test Polks on top of them seem to have more bass…..  I was hoping that having the Heresy at ear level was gonna be great. They are just so much better on slants on the floor. Or as I say. The best stands for Heresy are subwoofers.

Just like the fire ants. Keep getting closer and closer. I’m in Cobb and we have them to the west. Dillos too. Hehe

When I lived in Georgia, armadillos were considered possum on the half shell. 😆

I hate to see any little critter being wiped out. That being said...if they are the carriers of deadly disease...we certainly need to come first. Sorry little guy. We are a little higher on the food chain.

We are having a new resurgence of Black Bears in our area. I have no issue whatsoever with this. They were here first. If anyone gets out of line at the homestead, I take no issue with a 12 gauge  greeting. It would really have to be dire to come to that though.
