If caught early, like many diseases, it's treatable. Knowing what it can do if left alone, it's not good.

Just thought to post my coffee setup

The Bezzera Strega lever machine is the evaluation machine sent to Australia, and I was tasked to evaluate its performance with the importer about 12 or so years ago. And I liked it so much that I purchased it

‘The PF handles are custom made for me and one of a kind

Wow! Paul. Does it take lots of time for maintenance ?

My Rancilio Rocky grinder, bought after one of the TX guys here talked about his. It takes a little more than I was used to but it will be working `till my last day!

"She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean..."

I'll put that tune elsewhere!

No chemical cleaning required on a lever machine apart from a wipe of the head and screen with a cloth

I polish the stainless steel with car polish twice a year

My grinder is a Mazzer Robur

Do not use chemicals in or on mine either. If I get a dark roast I have to take the top of the Rocky apart and get the burrs de-gummed with a q-tip.

The vinegar clean of the coffee maker is almost enough. Used CLR twice now to clean the carafe, have hard water here.

I've got a six left in the fridge since about February.

I'd have one with chili, pizza or a good sandwich.

Started rejection of my new filter around then so I'm done with that for now. Think it was all the pain Rx for those stones.

Need to check if the close neighbor wants `em. I sure did when I made brats & kraut this week!

Survived another ball game this morning at 8AM?  Seriously?  Glad the jam packed season of "travel ball" AND Little League is almost over.  It saddens me tbh.

With close to 30 years shooting ALL sports from HS teams, major college teams and professionals in almost every sport I sometimes had the opportunity to get to know them.  They know you cause you're the one making them look good in papers and magazines.

Yea, I guess I was blessed but I always had a good time.  They ALWAYS got prints of my best stuff.  Just a simple thanks was good enough for me.  Those athletes have worked and trained to become elite.  Sure, many of them started young with guidance from parents and good people who knew their abilities and how to bring the best out in them.

I was fortunate w/my two girls and helped coach them in Little League.  Ya always have your dad moments ya never forget.  An unassisted triple play w/the oldest heading into the dugout while the crowd wondered why then hearing them go nuts when they realized what she did.

The youngest being a member of a State Championship team for 2 years in a row.  The second year, I bummed a limo  from a friend who owned a funeral home for the ride to the finals but ONLY if they made it there.  Yea, they did, so I upped the anty.  Ya win you get a ride home and all the ice cream you can eat cause we're stoppin somewhere.  Ya lose ya ride home w/your parents.  Yea, blah but it happened.

Travel ball?  Seriously?  11, 12 year old kids who love the game of baseball with parents, my daughter included, always pushing them to perfection?  No errors, home runs everytime, never take a called strike cause that one ya took was a dinger if ya hit it?

Then to compound the confusion in a kid's mind from all of that.  The coaches and some parents who were decent players I guess, start analyzing their swing, pitchers have to throw strikes every time or then get pulled, just ALL of it is destroying the game for kids imo.

NO 11, 12, or 13 year old kid's mind can handle that.  The ultimate hybrid warrior?  Quit it!  Play ya some ball kid and have fun!  Take that bag on wheels w/a grand in gear every year, throw it down and have ya some fun.

So when I left today, there's my grandson throwin his bag in the back of the SUV with one on either side of him talkin about something.  I stopped to ask my usual, "Did ya play your best today cause there's 8 other guys on that team that have to play theirs too cause it's not ALL on you.  Remember that."  I just got a long look before I said it so instead said "Catch ya later" smiled and drove away.  Ugh!

Time for some GRAND parenting sooner rather than later.  It ain't gonna be pretty either.  lol

The moral of the story?  Keep those kids or grands as far away from "travel ball" as you can!  Won't be long and they'll have a NIL program for lil kids playing baseball.  lol

One thing for certain you'll NEVER see a Travel Ball World Series like you do a LL World Series.  That's almost better than the World Series.  Kid's havin fun.  Pressure there though too.  Parents eating their young.  Amazing!   :)

End of rant and now I want a beer.  Scotch neat sounds better.  :)

It's been a minute, recently got my Dual hooked up in the living as the basement is torn apart. But it's nice sitting here having a Cranberry martini and spinning some vinyl.
