ALWAYS cutting edge One of the first I knew w/a BGE and after nosing on it I gave you a double thumbs up. Then it was PrimaLuna and the beat just went on. Yea, I get it. BUT now your talking plant based pizza? Say it ain't so. Just quit it. 😂 So tell me more Tasted just like pizza? Great off the BGE? So much better for ya? ALL of that. STOP! It AIN'T pizza! Was it slimey, gooey, have that true Italian spiced up tomato paste taste? Meats? Make ya think about that pizza ya found somewhere that was great and ya craved going back there? Asking for a friend. Remember, banana trees aren't really trees they're a herb and the banana's are really a berry. Don't panic though. Just an fyi for down the road when you're either mixing it up or reading the box. Add 2 cups of chopped banana? Nope. Sorry, not here! 😂 It's just not time for that stuff yet! Or? Mr. Cutting Edge!
Tarheel
All true Dave and it wasn't hard to get use to. Fun to experiment on different dishes using heart healthy ingredients. A recent CT scan revealed a few things including coronary artery disease. So I made some changes, take a baby aspirin and Crestor, and doing the plant based diet along with LF. A less invasive treatment than stents or heart surgery. Just wish I had started earlier in life. Will get another CT scan in three months and se how it's going.

Yup, that's so very true but you KNOW I had to bust ya a bit on it. 😂 People experiment on stuff all the time if it works for them then great. I'm trying to eat real food as long as I can. Look at me, I pulled the cutting board outta the butcher block for my amp and am actually using it in the kitchen to chop lettuce on. I'm turning into a chef! 😂 Easier to eat than just dumping it in a bowl outta the bag. 😂 You're ALWAYS light years ahead of me see? I'm learnin. You ready for more coffee yet? I went against my Endo Mama's orders and made a pot this morning. She told me last visit to drink water only. No diet anything, no tea and NO coffee? Seriously? Just gimme the bullet, yup just one, I won't miss! NO COFFEE? NOT even decafe? Ooooook. I'll admit, it's rare when I drink it anymore. Next visit we go into the "why" part of the deal. Already know I'll lose but gonna ask anyway. lol No stents here YET but who knows what the my heart dude is gonna tell me if I ever see him again. I see him only when he does the 15 minute pacer change out. 2 hours later I'm headed out the door. More insanity? Yup, 15 minutes. lol One of his under-studies keeps an eye on the scrips and monitors my pacer from here. Blah. Plant based? Gotta do what ya gotta do but for now, I'm eatin greasy. lol So how was it? Just in case...

JohnJ
I heard my phone ding last night, it was early this am actually. Not knowing I grabbed my glasses and the "Home" app said there was a vehicle at the front (camera) bell. That would have been odd, but if I can get the mp4 in here you will see odd! It's 3.69MB so can't use the site and postimage won't do the format. How can I get this 13 second mp4 with the alien life-form dancing in the air over my porch into this post? It was a buck the other night that knocked with his rack but this is either a technical snafu or recalibration of my camera or... 1

It is our switch to veggie oils back 40 -50 years ago that caused all this. See Dr. Pradip Jamnadas
babadono
Oh and too much carbs, too much sugar, way too much fructose and high fructose corn syrup. And eating way too frequently and becoming insulin resistant.

Many, many, many are insulin resistant...look it up. It is what causes the percursor to type II diabetes. AKA as adult onset diabetes which is happening to teenagers now, because of our diet.
Dave1291
36 minutes ago, babadono said: Many, many, many are insulin resistant... I've had type II for prolly 30 years and all I can tell you is I used that term w/my endomama and she went nuts and told me that. Her explanation was this. You're body will ALWAYS make insulin. It either doesn't get to where it has to go, which is thru the valley of "something" from the pancreas and is rare or your body doesn't make enough to counter the glucose you've injested thru your intake. My first wife had type I and she passed on the table when they attempted a "valley of whatever it was" 40 years ago. It was a new type of transplant then and her only recourse. All I know. Today, they can pull it off though. Back then it was 50/50. Know a local guy who had a pancreas transplant and is back to abby-normal. He stilll watches his intake but he's good to go. Crazy! Just eyeballed and think it's a bit of wording. Resistant/Resistance unless terminology has really changed. Dunno. Back in there in Oct sometime and I'll ask her. That was long ago when I used that term and it stuck a raw nerve ending. lol She went off and I was like duh? lol https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22206-insulin-resistance
Dave1291
@babadono I will say this though. This CRAP people are calling food is gonna kill millions of people. They're clueless at what they're eating. I've preached it to my oldest and the grands for years. The youngest is ALL over it and has STUDETTE stamped on her forehead. She's preached to her sister and the kids, they look at her and listen. They drink water 90% of the time and don't eat a bite of garbage. Crazy.
babadono
@Dave1291 sounds like you're all over it...preachin' to the choir again People are metabolically inflexible nowadays and are always running on glucose. Our ancestors did not live this way so we did not evolve to live this way. It is an epidemic and like you said it will kill millions but slowly and over tax the health care system. Our hospitals are not full of starving people, they are full of overweight/obese people.
