The blight a decade ago messed it up for a while. Then when Volcanos National Park had that series of eruptions and fires that did more damage.

Twice during those years I tried it and wasn't happy with the flavor/cost ratio.

I'll be happy when it's back, or if it goes the way that Colombian did... I'll have good memories.

 

Didn't make mine until I made meatballs and fettuccini around 11 today. (up at 4 again) 

 

Natural Process Costa Rician lately... 1 TBSP/ 6oz filtered water, pour over made, no sugar added!

When the Kona was great years ago it was like running on  JP4.  One good cup and you were on a misson from  God for about 3 hours.  It's still great coffee and I can't remember where I picked mine up  but it was the good stuff for sure.  Think it was a guy in Cbus who passed and his wife sold out to someone who closed it. 

 

Day 2 of running all over the state for appts but only 1 left next week  Then clean and green for a month.  Got home from the grand's 8th grade VB game tonight, which was also out of town.  Man they're bad  They've only won 1 set all year  They're all imploding!  lol  Kids!

 

On the upside filled up for $2.62 outside of Cbus.  $2.95 here today.  Duckburg.  lol  Gonna chill and spin alllll day tomorrow!

The Kona itself is fine but doesn’t wow me.

I might buy a small bag and try brewing some at home as I suspect the shops drip pot isn’t getting the best out of their beans.

Sounds like ya found a great lil shop run by good peeps.  Best way to roll on the planet.  Just being decent to ppl and enjoyin life.  Makes it easier to smile when you're out in the sun lookin out at the world.  I'm standin by the Nils Lofgren quote from years ago, "The whole world has gone mad."  lol  Still spinnin so ya just continue to march.  😂

Darnitt you've got me looking at Spotify then Tidal now Qobuz. Apparently Spot... talked about going high-res three years ago. I'll see, but rotating cd's in and out of the console is cheaper than any of them for a bit longer.

Chattanooga was running $2.38 when we crossed the border today. Both our vehicles already still close being topped off.

 

Finally got a new battery for my truck.  Been sittin' in the drive for a month. Still had the original, so I'm not really complaining. Six years is ok with me.

Well, that got me thunkin.  Next oil change gonna have to have 'em put the meter on mine.  Nuttin worse around here in the middle of winter.  ALWAYS starts cause it's in the garage then ya go somewhere, it's sittin outside and the battery is dead.  THAT happened once.  Those 15' jumpers in my trunk saved my rear.  People laff and ask when they see 'em layin back there.  Like ya don't have room in your trunk?   Ok, call whoever and get that wallet raped.  Thanks!  I think.

Glad this HOT weather thingy is finally gonna break tomorrow around here.  Zero rain for a couple weeks and the crops are suffering.  About time to take 'em off but still looks dry for the next week or so.  The way it seems in the Mid-West anyway.  Blah.  Life!

 

Off to the park to watch the grand play baseball.  Bout time to hit it a half-hour late.  They prolly just finished up "stretching!"  Yup, pay to play while parents push their kids to be the next "Ohtani."  😂

 

Grabbin the water bottle but then the next question hit.  Slippers or Nike's?  Mirrors are in order and no autographs please.  It's just another day sittin there sweatin eyeballin da wimmen and trying not to catch a line drive in the head.  Eh, may as well hit the Nike's. Who cares?  We got this!  😂

Argh, it never ends. Sorry everyone. Life is keeping me both busy and insane. I'm now working a job that gives me 10 hours a day at home for five days a week. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled for the substantial paycheck, it just doesn't give me much time over the course of the week.

The guy that lives across from me called me up and invited me over to play bass on some songs he and his buddy from Ohio were recording.

 

We stayed up way too late last night and I had jury duty this morning but it was a fun time.

Nice! First time, and last time I was called for jury duty it was for a murder trial they had moved up from Atlanta. Was going to be a sequestered jury... I gave clever answers during picking the jury and got out of it.

 

One of those picked was a woman with kids at home.she broke down in tears when picked.
