I went to get him and was gone !

Drove around the neighborhood no sign of him

 

So someone picked him up.

 

 

So talked to a couple of friends they put the word out on Facebook..

 

Milo was home 6 hours later..

Yes bro.has a new dog Doc to go with Levi, both year and a half. Levi abit territorial still but come cooler weather, they'll be closer .

I finally found a store in the next county that had the whole Sumatra beans I normally use for coffee.

I’ve been out since the first week of October after Helene came through.

It’s sounding as though it will be another six months or so before they have the grocery store down the street from my house rebuilt and ready to open.

 

I’ve been in the studio with band number one recording the bass tracks for some songs we are going to use for some promotional videos.

 

band number two is a rockabilly act and we have a gig opening a show on Black Friday down at Burger Bar(no burgers all bar) in Asheville.

It should be a good way to wake people up from their turkey induced coma.

Sounds like things are getting better for the town and you got that bean back.  That's not a good thing to mess with a man's coffee for that long.  Hopefully sooner than later you'll be back to abby-normal.

 

Leaf duty here in the hood and not done yet.  Temps dropping just in time for the ❌ichigan/OSU game Saturday.  High of 32?  Should be a battle again this year imo.  blue has zero to lose and OSU everything w/that 1 loss record alredy..  Blah. l'll stay home and warm.l

 

Grand went with me last evening to see Molly Tuttle who was playing 40 minutes away.  Her mom took her to see AJR, which is her fav band.  Naturally a boy band.  Justin Timberlake?  Just say NO!

 

Skooled her a bit on the way up telling her to watch and listen to the insturments.  Yea, ok.  Asked her after if she liked it and got a yes.  That was it.  Aske her mom this morning if whe said anything more.  Nope, told her yes too.

 

I did tell her I'd take her to a bigger show so she could see the difference.  Here I go again preachin and a teachin kinda maybe.  Blah. She'll grow into that 40$ t-shirt someday.  She didn't put it on so she didn't drop it but I did notice she had a death grip on it.  lol  Cross your fingers.  It's save an 8th grader time hopefully.

 

Start 'em with some roots and feed her a bite at a time.  She'll be ready for some prog in no time.  lol

Finally slowing down a bit.  Leaves are done for the most part here in Sherwood Forest. 

 

Went into renegade mode Sunday and took the day off while eveyone else was out playing.  Saved myself for the show Sunday evening.  Yup, someone called the city and they slipped out Monday w/the vac truck so yea, blah. 

 

Called 'em this morning to make sure they slipped by again to pick up mine before they quit.  Who cares right?  Could just light 'em up and have two pumper trucks and the hook and ladder rollin along w/mutual aid from some of the other towns close by.  I swear someone must have thrown a cigarette out the window driving by.     😂

 

Thought I'd throw down a couple pics of Molly Tuttle and the Golden Highway.  At $50 per it really was a nice evening imo.  Saw some local friends/players who'd followed my lead a few years ago and a couple of guys I hadn't seen in years.  Crazy.  Always nice to hold court w/old friends.

 

Hats off to @Marvel for the heads up a couple years ago.  I'd heard of her then he mentioned something about her so I started nosin a bit more.  Seriously?  This woman is cookin with Billy Strings and holdin her own easily. 

 

Great Stones mashup, a cover or two along with her signature cover of "White Rabbit" only an extended version 10 minutes long.  Wanna talk about nailed?  There are about half a dozen musical styles they baked into a song I thought I knew?  All outstanding musicians for sure.  So yea, the place was sold out and kinda looked like a Geriatrics Center but not really. 😂

 

The farmers are just about done so guess it was time to have a lil fun.  Ya ever stop and think about how many farmers are into music?  It'll floor ya for sure.  Nuttin to do but ride around doin their thing sangin along all day. 

 

I-H dealer here wanted my opinion on a system he put in a combine for a dude.  Seriously?  Crazy good sound.  Scrub up and hit the show.  Sell some corn and go!  Blah! 

 

 

 

Been a busy boy werkin some magic.  Got one workin in Ireland tonight hopefully IF my buddies kid listens to me, which I think he will.  He's greased cause my guns are always loaded when I roll.  More to come tomorrow or the next day.  Should be a hoot. 

 

Lilly:  Grandpa, you're going to have to stop talking to people.

 

Me:  Lilly, I've known these people all of my life they're friends.

 

When ALL I really wanted to know is did YOU like the show enough to begin to walk away from you're little boy bands and expand yourself?  I'm gonna need someone to drive and push my wheel chair someday.  😂

Saw on the news that one Gent in Western North Carolina spearheaded an effort to prepare 5600 Thanksgiving meals for those effected by Helene.  He said he was so excited he couldn't sleep.

Man after my heart!  Mine's Sunday w/the oldest and gaggle.  Checked in w/the youngest and she's throwin tile up on a bathroom shower @ her place in Phoenix.  It ALWAYS sorts!

Yup, everyone's got a plate full of somethin today it seems.  I snagged a couple just cause it's been a while and it was her  Then thought of my grand and figured I'd expose her just a bit.  Not often ya get the opportunity to actually do something with kids today.  One on one is always good imo.
