Tarheel
First cup down. 38 and clear here in the port city. The Swankster had a spa day yesterday and now we can see his eyes. My spa day was Thursday and yes you can now see my eyes too. Trying some recipes for Hasselbeck potatoes. One savory and one with maple syrup/bourbon glaze. Winner to be announced soon.
Tarheel
Long shot but does anyone no where to get a CDP (Njoe Tjoeb 4000) repaired. Asking for a friend. I realize that many units are disposable when they go on the blink but he wants his repaired if possible.

Wet, 40's and temps about ready to nose dive next week. Blah! Leaves? Yea, they're out there. Double blah. I quit! Gonna let 'em marinate til spring. Dave1291
Pretty quiet in here lately. Kinda chilly actually. On the run the past couple days. Warming up a bit into the weekend and supposedly 56 on Monday? Yea, what I thought. It's gonna rain for 4 days and start dropping again Think i'll throw down a pot of chili tomorrow or Sunday. Gotta git, my drone's done charging

Marvel
We hit the ground running for sure. Last night was a 30 year class reunion for the high school where my wife had taught before. Her students absolutely adored her. About five other teachers attended as well. It was a six hour party, with a dj, live music by former stuents, great filipino food (ya know... lechon of course). Got home about 1:30... can't believe I'm actually awake. 1

Dave1291
Whoa, up stumblin at 8? Coffee's ON! Who knows what's gonna happen after that today. Wet outside but it's 47 right now and going up today so that's a good thing. Could open the doors and have a throw down for the neighbors but that could confirm my insanity so I'll be a good boy. Turmoil in Duckburg's city council is the hot item of discussion. Some old city council woman can't seem to get along with the other council members. I don't know her but it's clearly evident she's whacked out. 😂 She's got all workin now. Demanding police protection in and out of city hall, filing Civil Protection Orders against anyone disagreeing with her, not attending meetings but getting paid like everyone else? It's a total hoot all because no one ran in her district. Last week she called for a public boycott on a friends auto repair shop. Seriously? The guy's been in business for 50 years, nice big place w/11 mechanics and they're all good. Clean, tight and professional in every way. Why? Because she goit into it over his daughter's objections to her comments at council. lol His daughter has a degree in business and came back to town and took a job running the Chamber of Commerece, which pays squat. Oh yea, she's got a CPO in place against her too. 😂 So now there's a boycott on her Dad's business because he "can't keep his wife and daughter in check." His wife just runs the books for the business. Funny, he's now buried in work. Yea, welcome to Duckburg. 😂 Me? I'm going outta the box and buying a new drone the size of a small school bus and setting up camp at the local airport 24/7. Why be open and set up camp there you ask? Cause the city can't even argree on what to do with Federal monies to build a new little terminal replacing the 75-year-old outhouse they've been using. I'd prolly be a welcome sight to the manager who makes squat sittin on a 5 gallon plastic bucket waiting on the next 747 to land. 😂 There, I'm outta coffee. Have a good one. Invidiosulus
I finally managed to hit a grocery store that had the whole bean Sumatra that I like. I bought three pounds of the stuff. At one or two cups per day it’s going to last me a little while. Yesterday I went over to our guitarists studio to lay down a couple of bass tracks. We went to work on the first song and discovered the audio files were missing from the ProTools project. A little investigation and we discovered that the audio tracks themselves were getting saved into the wrong folder and he had accidentally deleted them. We started running some file recovery software and it looked like most of it was going to be recoverable. Not the end of the world but it was a bit of a let down. Jan 18th we are playing a private party in a guys hanger/garage bar. I also picked up some 1/2” Baltic birch to make a pair of Smith Horns just for the fun of it but I need to get my shop cleared out a little before I can get started.

Marvel
We left the house at 5:00 a.m., heading from the north side of Manila to head down to Laguna. Dark out... kids out walking to school already, boys and girls in their school uniforms. The traffic on the streets never stops at night... the noise just eases a little bit. The cars are quiet, but they are outnumbered by the motorcycles and tricycles (motorcycles with side cars... cheap way to get a ride through town). After getting partway through town, we're on an 8 lane hwy. The rail transit in town is getting better. New rail lines that will connect Manila and further south on Luzon to the former US Clark air base in the north. Clark is now a beautiful resort area. We're still looking for property on one of the other islands. Found an area we like, about 5 kilometers from a coastal town of 130 thousand population. Three universities, two good hospitals, airport. The area we like is about 800 ft above sea level, pretty immune from typhoons and flooding. Quiet with nice people around. Have a lead on some property there.
