Duckburg and ya all think I'm nuts?  Yea, I get it.  Ya CAN'T make this stuff up though!

The town's buzzing about the Tesla truck blowing up in Vegas right in front of Trump's hotel.  It ain't all about that but the dude driving the truck used to be a local kid growing up around here?  Yea, that's the word.  Breaking news as of this morning.  Actually posted a pic of the dude and I've seen him but clueless.  Insane.

So go ahead.  Send me over the edge.  I won't park out front.  I'll turn it into a drive-thru and make a fashion statement!  😂😂😂  Crzay stuff out there today for sure.

Anyone seen my car keys?

For the new year... besides getting the Snails finished (I know, I know...), I'm going to get a new guitar and spend more time playing and less listening.

Lil laff watching the VT/MN football game in the Duke Mayo Bowl  Yea, I get it w/the Duke's but man those two announcing didn't seem to enjoy it too much on frozzen ice cream bars.  Couldn't believe they showed him on cam grabbing a wastebasket and spitting it all into it.  Funny.  So they close it w/the  winning coach getting a big jug of that stuff dumped on his head at the end of the game?  ANYthing but a jug of mayo I don't care WHO makes it!  It's ALL about the money!  lol

Rain and snow moving thru in the next couple days.  4" to 4' it sounds like.  Bllah, what do "they" know anyway?  Just gonna turn it UP!  :)

Maybe nekkie snow angels if I'm feelin it!

Winter is Here!

My hereditary Arthritis is alive.  FlexAgain is good! It's also not like the Rx's with the test tube chemicals.

So that place I got in the forest?

Tremendous trees have far-reaching roots and being on the second highest plateau of my land they got under the slab and busted into a pipe.  Well now my new year old floor is up in a numbered stack, at least I can use the bathroom again after a week without. Jackhammer will be here this coming week. Very glad I got good coverage on my new to me home!

Don't try asking a plumber to use the kind of permanent pipe that has to be welded like the good-ol-days... mine just about got upset until the grin broke out on my face:lol: Cheap-plastic-pipes make me cuss!

So they were calling for 5 then it went up to 11 + by yesterday evening. Now it's all three, freezing rain, sleet and snow to about 9 for Sun-Monday.

I know the weather is bad there, but we had a wonderful dinner at an outdoor resto tonight, with family and friends (some of my wife's former students, a couple married with grown kids of their own). Temp in the low 80s, but just enought breeze to be comfy.

BBQ, fresh grilled fish, rice, veggies, soup. Cold beer and conversation.

Be back home in a couple days, with colder weather for sure.

So... while out grocery shoppiing at a store in this huge mall, I couldn't resist this shot. The left side of the aisle is tuna, the right side is all sardines...

Cold in Duckburg and I'm holed up for the most part.   22 for a high today w/temps dropping into the teen's next week?  Yea, under control.  About 3 inches of snow the other morning and my neighbor is up to something with his snow blowing.  Got out of the plowing deal here in the hood a few years ago but I'd hit all the neighbors drives for free.  Stay inside and watch cause it takes me 5 minutes and I'm jammin out.  Now he's slipping around knockin out drives with his blower.  Yea, that works for me but now what do I do with this big blower I just dropped 1k on?  It's just takin up space in the garage now.  Whatever works right?  :)

Teens next week for daily highs and calling for more snow so we're gonna see how long he keeps up the good work.  He's knockin 3 drives out in addition to his.  I'm grinnin.  😂

Time for more coffee.  We got this!   Auto-pilot!  :)

Up to 25 down here now @Dave1291. Someone wiped out down at my creek last night but at least they didn't go over.

We ended up with 4" of snow Sun. Packed down by a lot of ice Mon morning, must have been 1/8" or more! I recall that much always wreaking havoc in CLT, not so much here

Had the sound of a sun-shower all day yesterday and there's still some left. Went out and got my OJ yesterday, AWD kicked in on that bad patch on the way back!

It’s 15° in Spruce Pine and finally cool enough to pull my  Lands’ End expedition parka out of the closet.

We had some flurries this evening but not enough to accumulate.

The schools are on a 2 hour delay tomorrow after being off all week due to “weather”.

I ran up to my guitarists studio earlier and we worked out the shot list for some music videos we are shooting this weekend.

It will be interesting to see how we can make it work since the guitarist and I are  going to be the videographers.

@Invidiosulus  Go outta the box on the video shoot  U2 do what ya wanna shoot then tell the gaggle to break out their cells and go to work with their creativity during whatever segment you want recorded.  Tell 'em to send you the videos of their work cause they're shooting the video FOR you to use.  Crazy?  Just remember the whole world's gone mad and they just might get into steppin outta the box with ya'll.  Only restricted by the stage so shoot every angle they want.  Lil audience participation always works for a good time.  Ya just never know.  lol  :)

Teens at nite in Duckburg and about 4AM I jacked the electric blankie up to level 3. last night  Yea, this stuff is getting serious  now!  More coming in "they" say.  We got this.  Football tonight and tomorrow night.  Who knows?  :)

So after a few days with the highs in the mid 20s, we've got snow comin' again. Then it goes up to 36 tomorrow.

Must have milk & bread, milk & bread, milk & bread, milk & bread & OJ :P

Finally home from the Philippines... rough trip. First flight just over 5 hours... 2 hour layover. Then 14.5 hours to Atlanta. That's a long, lo g time to be in the air. Very smooth flights, though, which was good. Then the shuttle back to home up to just south of Chattanooga. Sunny and then dark. Cold... woke up to snow, had coffee and snack. Back to sleep. Snow's over, maybe 2-4 inches on the ground.

A lot different than waking up to 75-80 degrees and sunshine every day for almost a month and back to work on Monday
