Pino
Hello, I need a little help because my KSW-10 does not start. The led remain red. I have already checked the signal from the speakers and it is OK. I did not change the wiring and in the last weeks I saw he had some problems (a delay) to start. I checked also the board inside (I am practical in electronics) and i found a couple of dirty solderings near two power transistor (probably the series regulator for power supply) but the problem is not there... So, maybe other users had the same problem and also the schematic diagram can help me. Thank you in advance for your answers. Pino,
mustang guy
Welcome to the forum! Before you tear into it any more, try using a y-adapter with female in and dual males out. Many have found that this increased input voltage is what it took to wake up their subs. Edited February 10, 2014 by mustang guy
Pino
Thank you, but it does not wake up even with the switch right there on the panel... Who can give me the diagram? Ciao
tjohnusa
It sounds like your on the right track with bad solder connections...hit them and any other iffy looking joints. The fact that it started to be intermittant and then nothing makes me think this. Another thing you can try is to give the plate amp a good wack at start up with an open palm...if it starts then you either have a cold solder joint or maybe even a cracked board.
