I run balanced XLR at both ends between my preamp and amp. No comparison in signal strength, imageing, etc. vs. analog connections. Balanced xlr's are analog. Taz Posted March 6, 2014 Share Posted March 6, 2014 I'm doing DC biased crossovers now for the Heritage stuff, and the kind of feedback that I'm getting used to surprise me, but not anymore. You hear more of what is "good", and less of what is "bad". That sounds like a successful beta test. While not in any way objective, it does help validate that no single person participating is crazy or overwhelmingly influenced by placebo.
