klipschorn no sound on woofer

If all else fails to correct the problem without surgery, you may have to access the woofer itself and see if the wires are connected. Had a La Scala that had a wire come off the base speaker. Easy fix. B)

Old tinsel leads frequently fail, a speaker repair shop can replace these without a re-cone.

Eminence and CTS drivers can be repaired by the average person that can solder and glue. You will need soldering tools, solder, tinsel lead, new dust-cap, and glue.

I use my painters 5 in 1 tool to carefully pry open the woofer door. Good luck, wear gloves so as not to cut yourself.

Then you can check door feed-thru and woofer connections. Next test would be DCR of woofer with a VOM or equivalent.

I have the same quite handy tool.

mustang guy, can i borrow that tool^^^ :D

thanks Ron its work now, i remove the wire from crossover and ran speaker wire direct to the woofer put some bass cd and its wokrs,it possible freeze :huh: i dont think so"mistery"
