trarmstrong
Finally settled on getting a set of Quintet speakers.... now which subwoofer? Mid-sized room. It will be right next to the front right speaker but sitting in a semi-open location (corner of wall with hallway behind it). Looking for something good and smooth for crossover reasons (120Hz) for both music and movies. Klipsch SW-350 (370) Polk Audio PSW111 (on sale: 180) Anything else in this price range? Scrappydue
Bic pl-200. Awesome for movies! So so for music. Don't even bother with the Klipsch for that price. Way over priced. Are you opposed to used? Can get more sub for your money. What's your budget? Size constraints? Listening levels? Music or movies first? jason str
The Dayton subs are pretty good, cheap too. Get two for your space. Dayton subs
jailer180
I bought the Quintet V's. I'm thinking of getting a BIC America V1220 or the F-12. Would either of these be okay? Room is about 18' x 24'. Really looking more for music listening than home theater. Edited April 13, 2016 by jailer180
mustang guy
The size of the room isn't as important as the size of your speakers. You might be way better off with a pair of these subs to reduce room modes. Do you have pictures of the room they are being installed in that you wish to share? Or a layout drawing? The History Kid
I bought the Quintet V's. I'm thinking of getting a BIC America V1220. Will that be okay? Room is about 18' x 24'. You may opt to look for used instead. You will almost certainly get better results. What ratio movies/music are you planning on listening to?
