Robert B.
My Amber amp is divorcing the polks. Will be having a dinner date with my newly acquired Forte II .
beeker
This weekend i was invited to a very nice polk collection listening to about a dozen pairs and more. Mint monitor 10a's was the purchase my friend was after for his vintage matt polk collection. I will say ran on the hosts adcom 200x2 the 10a's with upgrated networks sounded ok. In comparison to your polks id say very similar. Oh my compared to forte ii yes they are completely different speakers. I could only feel for them stuck in a polk rut. Your amp will be happy with the switch but for your ears to your heart your soul is about to be filled with a blessing. Nice you made it here. Klipsch is the parking spot for every audiophile. You will never need to get another pair of speakers
Moderators dtel Posted March 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) I would much rather have the forte's, but that is a nice set of cones on that Polk, if they were just inverted it would change the look completely.
