Ah the good old days, when you actually COULD tour the factory.

Carl, I see you made it back in one piece....

I think I left some of my liver in Hope, but the rest of me made it home just fine. It's right at 5 hours from here. Not a bad drive at all.

Professor Thump (aka Mark Blanchard) takes Amazon.com for a tour of the Klipsch Anechoic Chamber and the research laboratory.  Does Professor Thump know bass?  With a name like that, do you even need to ask?

I sure wish my garage looked like this! B)  Given many will be going on a "tour" this month; it sure seems worth resurrecting the tour on the first post of this thread.

I have been fortunate enough to spend several hours several times in that shop with Kevin. That is Kevin in his blue Dentist scrubs. If you look real close in the picture, you will see Kevins TSCMs back behind the KP-600s and his Motengators are kept back there as well. As for Kevins 442, he has taken me on several rides, he took that car on Hot Rods Power tour before and his Dad helped him build the 455 in it, so that car will stay with him for life!

Kevin also has an industrial air conditioner on the back of that shop that is physically larger than the 442 that can cool the whole shop in about 10 minutes. The shop is 30 by 120 if I remember correctly and Kev has a pair of early 50s Klipshorns up front in the office as well as more deer head and other mounts!

Kevin is bringing his KP-600 Klipsch speaker for everyone to have a listen.

I'm stoked.

What source will he be using?  I know at least a couple guys there will have digital if nothing else.

Carl,

If memory server me correctly, Kevin has a CD player in his amp rack. I hope someone brings a method to hook up an IPOD as I am bringing my 15 year old daughter with me and I am sure she would like to listen to some of her songs as well!
