Boxx
If UT and TCU both get in that's fine by me. I wouldn't mind seeing 4 Big 12 teams make it this year....
The Dude
Hello Omaha..... Hook'em.... Boxx great reason for you to come up and hang out.
Sancho Panza
I thought K meant thousand. It does; a little tongue in cheek. I hope 1 SEC team, Vanderbilt, makes the swing through Omaha.
The Dude
Super Regional's this weekend..... Big 12 looks strong.... Lots of good match-ups; Go SW Louisiana!!! Texas plays Houston in Austin.... Good bye LSU.... Dam LSU brings such a good crowd.
The Dude
But Ucla sure stomped my team in last years CWS. My wife's cousin, is the center fielder that caught the last out in the last game that sent them packing last year
Sancho Panza
Wasn't our best team, by a long shot; they won the first 3 with smoke & mirrors.
Boxx
Go Frogs..... Three Big 12 teams going to Omaha... not bad.
Sancho Panza
Mississippi beat the best team in the field, to join Vanderbilt, to give the SEC 2. iIrc, it has been as high as 5 out of 12 @ the time.
Boxx
Mississippi came through in the clutch, even with the rain falling. Even though they lost to TCU, Pepperdine impressed me; especially their pitching staff.
akdave
The Texas Rangers celebrated their 20 years in their ball park with a loss to the Phillies. I do not like starting off the season with inter-league play Also, if you can believe it, there is discussion going on regarding the building of a new stadium for the Rangers.... Hard to believe the "new stadium wave" of the 90's is twenty years past already! I'm a big Braves fan also and was surprised to hear of their new stadium coming in 2017! And in regard to the pine tar - at least the Braves wasn't quite Michael Pineda (NY Yankees) on the neck obvious!
Boxx
quite Michael Pineda (NY Yankees) on the neck obvious! That was almost (no it was) laughable the tar on the neck... Good grief....

Sancho Panza
10 to 8 after 5. Think the Rockies will get the pitcher who gave up most of those runs off the hook ?

willland
Sad day. The great hitter Tony Gwynn passed away after years of battling oral cancer that he attributes to his long use of smokeless tobacco. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/hall-of-famer-tony-gwynn-dies-at-54-after-cancer-battle?ymd=20140616&content_id=80040976&vkey=news_mlb Incredible numbers in his 20 year career with a lifetime avg. of .338. He was a class act. Bill Edited June 17, 2014 by willland
