"Rosenut" color created by applying secret formula (Varathane Cherry #445 Premium Gel Stain) onto American walnut veneer, then treating with BLO (boiled linseed oil). The K-400 horn is painted with Valspar Metallic, Aged Copper 66027. It is a good match to the copper color cones of my Klipsch Reference speakers. Now that I have been enjoying the good looks and sounds for a while, I can say that it was a fun project. It was a lot of work for a novice woodworker, but very rewarding.
