I am ordering crites xovers, titanium diaphrams, but would like to do more mods maybe brace the cabs, fill them so they are not so open inside to tighten the bass? Any other mods you would suggest? What do i use and how do i fill the cabinet? Do i use foam? And how do i go abou bracing the cabs? Thanks in advance for all the suggestions guys im a newb to mods

If you do bracing do it first. Splitting all 3 or at least lower and top end separation may be easiest and results will be the same. IF you notice any difference then you may be a first. I have to say it as fact not just my opinion. numbers dont deviate on graphs with bracing so pass on bracing.

All in All honesty after your titanium and crossovers are installed just throw some polyfill in there mainly the bottom and you will be good to go. Just a little stuck around the top will be fine. bracing is for long term extremely loud pa use for longevity

I fall into the opposite camp, I believe that good solid brace work is the place to start. Divide each panel along its length with a brace 3/4"x21/2" tie the braces together side to side and front to back with 1x2 stringers of fir or pine. A 1x2 will measure 3/4"x1 1/2" just so you know. The front baffle should have horizontal braces below and above each driver. Use stringers to connect to the rear baffle. 1x2 all around the baffles front and back will significantly stiffen things. Keep damping away from vents and passive radiators as these devices require a resonant volume to function. Leave the bottom of the cabinet unbraced as you may need that space later for upgraded crossovers.

Ti diaphragms are a good idea as are new caps, plastic film and foil are a good place to start. Damping driver resonances is also a very worth while pass time. Dynamat and S.A.E. rated F-11 acoustical wool felt (I like the 1/8" thick material) are very useful for this. I also like to use diffraction devices in my horns or drivers but you can get started with the wood work. That should keep you busy for a while. Always keep your eyes open for gems as you can never have too many speakers to work on. KLF20 KLF30 CF3 and CF4 are all very fine speakers all worth your time attention and funds. Have fun. Best regards Moray James.

As you can see opinions will vary so you will need to sort things out along the way for yourself. Best regards Moray James.
