John Warren
Ever wonder how a large, diesel powered truck blasting around your neighbor hood to pick up a few hundred pounds of plastic and paper garbage is good for the environment? oldtimer
My city uses bio-diesel to power its trucks. The bio-diesel is produced at the land fill which traps methane and uses it in the process. It doesn't have to be BS.
mustang guy
That's a good point, and I think there should be a minimum of impact to collect recyclables as oldtimer mentions. Otherwise it is BS My city uses bio-diesel to power its trucks. The bio-diesel is produced at the land fill which traps methane and uses it in the process. It doesn't have to be BS. I like the idea of biodeisel as long as it is made from waste oils or as your municipality cleverly captures it from the fill. The trouble is with supply and demand. As more and more people are using the biodeisel made from fryers there becomes a shortage. That demand is driving the production of biodeisel from food oil. There is a good bit of information on this topic, and I am truly a big fan of biodeisel. Edited April 21, 2014 by mustang guy
Taz
I always thought BS was used to make the plants in the garden grow. Kinda like CS and HS.
