derrickdj1
All I can say is that look awesome!!!. It has to sound better without even being able to hear it. I bet the wife even likes the look, very classy.
K5SS
Great work man! I know I might have sounded a little rough with my earlier post but that wasn't my intention. That looks great and I bet it sounds great to.
Hypoxia
It did improve the sound quite a bit. I was tempted to turn them upside down as was suggested but they are so heavy I didn't really want the workout. As far as the original reason I started this thread, RC-64 Clarity, I'm not sure yet. I watched Gettysburg last night & it sounded good so we'll see if other shows are the same.
peshewah
You got me thinking about my center as well as my Yamaha so I played with it. I turned off DRC, and went to the equalizer and turned on the PEQ. It sounds a little clearer. But thats just me. You might give it a shot. It won't cost you anything.
javelin
Wow, such a big difference. Not only more pleasing for the eyes to look at but sound should have improved as well. Great job.
Frzninvt
You also have to take into account how the movie soundtrack was mixed. Some are far better than others I have a hot-rodded La Scala center and some movie soundtracks are just plain poorly mixed and no amount of software adjustments and physical placement will overcome a poorly mixed movie soundtrack. I do not trust the internal calibrations done by AV Receivers or AV Pre/Pro's I do it by ear with a disc, laser pointer, and SPL/RTA meter to dial it to my ears and not a condenser microphone. I have watched many a movie that I have had to turn up to hear the center dialogue only to be pinned to the wall when an action sequence kicks in. Glad you saw some improvement.
