I've had this for around 15 years probably. It's been moved two times, it was in client controlled storage for about 7 years and I've now been using it again for the last 2 years. I'm showing a closeup of the woofers you can see there's an imperfection in one, but that's been there for years. No difference in sound reproduction. Also it looks as though there is separation around the woofer, but it came that way, you can in fact see that same separation in the factory photo someone attached down a few posts. That's normal and does not affect performance. One photo I flipped it over so you can see the wear on the bottom where I slid it around occasionally. Also I'm missing one of the post binders, but I had banana plugs so no real issue. But I found a KV-4 which more acoustically matches my CF-2s and can handle a bit more power so that's the route I'm going to try. If nobody buys it, I may get a matching one and make it a surround speaker. I want dipoles on the side, but these would be good rears speakers. A tab big, but I have the wall space. The specs look almost identical to the Academy as well. It began manufacture the same year the Academy ended. Academy speakers are frequently used as center speakers to the heritage line. It's not meant to lay horizontally like most center channel's it's interesting to hear the difference but it's clearly better when you stand it vertical. We played a scene, sitting off axis a bit, and then he turned it up vertical and played the scene again. Look at the images above of the LCR and the Academy. Your speaker has a much more capable horizontal off axis capability than the Academy.
