Budman Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) its different years of speakers, it would never be the same. plus past owners could have sanded them down and restained them I had 83's and rf-7ii's both in cherry. are they the same NO I wouldn't care if they didn't match exactly as long as they are both in cherry. I have pics I took of my friend's RC-7 that I purchased from a forum member and my previous RF-83's. How close they are is hard to tell without having them side by side. willland Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Keep in mind this, cherry ages(darkens) over time. My RF-63's are about two "shades" darker than my RC-64. The 63's were mfr'd in 2006 and the RC-64 was mfr'd in 2009. You most likely would have a larger spread in production with an RC-7 and RF-83's so with age alone the 7 would be darker than the 83's.
