Heritage_Head
Got some cable dressing that cleans them up a bit. Its a small tweak but looks better than it was imo.
Shodrewken
The grills look sick bro!
Vital
Beautiful... the grills really step them up a notch. Just out of curiosity did you price the KPT-942 or KPT-942/4? I would love to hear the 902 vs the 942 side x side. Something about that k402 horn just speaks to me. It might not be practical at all lol. Very nice speakers and at that price point it has to be the best bang for the buck around.
mustang guy
I am selling 3 KPT-904 bottoms. There is a link here: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/152210-fs-three-kpt-904-lf-bass-bins/#entry1776892 Changed my mind for the time being... I may buy some K402's or JBL 2360A's. Heritage_Head
They are starting to clean up pretty nice. One thing I would like to do is cover the small holes on the sides of the horn. I have seen how some have black tabs of some kind in them. Can anyone tell me what to get?
jason str
Measure the hole size (looks like 3/16) but measure it to be sure you get the right size. Your local hardware store, Menards, Home Depot, ETC should sell plastic hole plugs in various sizes.

If you want them completely gone, you could fill them with body putty and sand them down and repaint black. Another thing that might look good would be a picture frame cut to fit the horn. A wooden frame with some depth might actually make the horn attractive.

Changed your mind, why? Would you keep them in the shop, or do the upgrades and re-sell them as a package? I'm not the world's expert, but I really have a hard time imagining anything sounding much better (or louder!) in your shop than those six La Scala's. And then a 904 with a 402 type horn is an even higher level.

Heritage_Head
Build a box......... photo 4(2).jpg 7.jpg That would look nice with a matching grill. Could make it the V shape so I could still angle it.
mustang guy
Those 904's I have are so nice, and I have tested them. They rattle everything in the shop placed like they are. I am sure they will smoke the LaScalas if I put a K402 or JBL 2360A on them.

My JBL 2360As have little holes on the front lip that are apparently for mounting the horns.
