klipsch
I have a SW-15 powered sub that is connected to the sub out on a Yamaha RX-V692. When I change inputs on the receiver there is a thud that is heard out of the sub. This does not happen when the sub is off. The volume is not constant, but varies with the volume control. So when I'm cranking with a LD and want to switch over to a DVD, the thud can be extremely loud. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steven
boa12
steven, same happened to me w/ my 1st marantz sr8000 receiver. probably yours too is supposed to engage a quick mute circuit to the sub out/sub just when you do any switching on the receiver. so as w/ mine, most likely that mute circuit in your yammy is defective. the dealer just gave me a new unit & it then worked fine. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
