List of Equipment with pics HERE

I am selling about 50 pieces of vintage audio equipment for a buddy, and about 60 fifteen pairs of vintage Frazier speakers. Klipsch Forumites will get first choice before I open this up to national sales.

I want this to be open ended for discussion, more than just simple questions on buying a piece, so please post as you want, there is no such thing as "thread crapping" on this thread.

In brief, I have Marantz, Luxman, Fisher, Onkyo, Sherwood, Sansui, and Adcom electronic pieces, and more.

This will be a separate thread later, but there is a speaker brand I am told is known to Klipsch people, called "Frazier." I have heard these and they sound incredible. I will have about 50 15 pairs of them available soon.

for those into mods thought I would mention that when rebuilding vintage amps like Sansui Luxman and Adcom a friend of mine has converted them from the stock transistor output stages to mosfet ones, very nice and makes them more or less indestructible. Not a simple mod but thought that some would be interested in knowing that it can be done. Hope this is of interest. Best regards Moray James.

To me modding or rebuilding these receivers is a waste of money. I don't even believe in recapping my xovers or buying aftermarket xovers as I don't like the end result.

Catch of the day: I have a nice, new 135 wpc modern Onk AVR with all the bells and whistles, but I think the sound of that Sherwood receiver, #14 on my list, blows my Onk into the weeds. I would describe the sound as "open" and clean as a whistle.

All those amps/receivers listed sound pretty good (and there is more to come, ie Adcom) but that Sherwood may be the sleeper best value in that group.

Anything in particular (Sansui) that you are looking for? I'm going to try and unload a bunch of speakers soon....

You owe it to yourself to look into this sale. I drove to West Virginia and had a great time. Also spent all of my money.

What did you get?

I got:

1. Frazier Concerta's

2. Frazier ?? (Towers with 4 each, 4" speakers)

3. Marantz 2100 amp

4. Marantz tuner

5. Butt sores from driving 1000 miles in two days
