Just the "Heads or squawker tweeter sections, the tops" are for sale now. I will keep the bass bins, I hate to break these up but will never use the top end of these. I will check this evening and see exactly what drivers are in them. There will be 8 midrange and 4 tweeter drivers with the xoer and cab. I am also willing to part out the drivers if there is any interest. I think $500.00 is a fair price.

Wowsers! Is it me, or is that a nice price for those?

Its You !

Please don't post such rude comments in the Garage Sale forum...

Good Golly Gee Whiz, is it possible that it was meant as a joke between friends, or a slightly sarcastic funny comment? Lighten up.

I was just going off of what was reported to me by the OP. He took it as a rude disparaging of his price, which I agree to a point. I understand good-natured ribbing amongst forum buddies but this could have been taken the wrong way by potential buyers. This is why I made that judgement call.

To be honest with you Chad it was not his price that bothered me as price will always take care of itself. The comment he made saying these were better than original Khorns is what I had a problem with which is exactly what I said to the OP in a response to his Craigslist ad

Not to dilute the OP's offering here...but there may be a reason why the OP holds the opinion that they sound better than stock Khorns - and it has something to do with not only the built-in false corner (wings) and bass response, but also horizontal and vertical dispersion from the midrange horn in the smaller baffle--just by examining the design from the pictures provided.

I haven't heard them, so I don't have an opinion on how they sound. I'd also mention that they'd be much easier to modify with upgraded midrange/tweeter horn (like a K--402), and they would probably be fairly spectacular sounding with that mod - perhaps 95% of a Jubilee's sound. But that's clearly off topic here.

Good luck with the sale.

such a generous offer of about half my price, no thank you. I might just rebuild the bass bins and part out the heads. Do you realize the number of drivers in the heads, times about 75.00 used price on eBay?

How many drivers are in the heads? I am confused.

I believe he's talking about the section we often call "top hats", in which case there are only two (unless these are magic speakers). A $300 value by his math.

Thad,

That is correct, every top hat has 4 K-55 drivers and 2 K-77 drivers. I am pushing 28 K-55 midrange drivers with the seven TSCMs that I own.

To the OP, what year are your TSCMs. Do they have K-33E Woofers or the K-44E woofers? Do they have K-55M mid drivers or K-55V, and if they have the V-driver are they solder terminals or not??
