Pronex
So there is a guy in my area selling a pair of the industrial la scala's. Has them listed for $600 although I have the feeling he can be negotiated lower. The picture he sent me looks like they are scratched up pretty good (as expected from being moved around). My questions are what is the difference of these vs the home version? What is the footprint difference vs the home version? Sound difference? Can the aluminum trim be removed or is it worth it? Are they worth purchasing for home theater use? What is a fair price? Anything else you can think of. Just trying to figure out if these are worth it or not. Turbox
leave now ask questions later. I think the pro version will handle more power. other than a few other cosmetics, they are essentially the same?
ClaudeJ1
The K-43 woofer in a Pro LaScala is more detailed in the mids than the K-33 in the home version. Both need a sub.

twistedcrankcammer
Those are the more desirable split version. They bring $1,000 for a pair. Do NOT remove the trim. They have the K-43 woofer in them. Not quite as low on the bottom end but they will take 200 watts per channel instead of 100 watts per channel like the home version. They look in good shape for what they are. Roger
psg
The K43 woofer handles 200W instead of the K33 100W; it's huge in comparison. It doesn't go as low but that doesn't change much of anything in a La Scala. The other drivers are the same as in a standard La Scala. Great for HT!
