Scrappydue
Well after the purchase of the harley, the wife and i have decided to stay in the house we are in for a few years instead of being in a hurry to move. So naturally, my wheels started turning and i wanted to spice up the EXTREMELY temporary setup in the basement, and make things a bit more permanent. So here are a few before shots to get this thread started.
Scrappydue
first was the tear down of everything. here is the room from the very back
Scrappydue
then we started framing the left wall as well as the front wall. big problem in the winter even with electric heaters in the room, it would barely get 60 degrees. insulation was a must. covered the window up as it wasn't ever opened. Scrappydue
then me an my dad hung the drywall
Scrappydue
next we started priming everything. went with a tint based primer close to what we were painting. used some kind of special primer that is made for brand new drywall. worked out great! the wood paneling required a different tint as well as kilz. it also covered very well. PRIMER DONE!
Scrappydue
terrible picture but the differences in the primer and "Cinnamon Spice" that was picked out. finish is in eggshell since i have a three year old. want to be able to wipe down the wall if i need to. Scrappydue
then my dad taught me how to lay tile. i am very thankful he knows how to do just about everything. also enjoy father son projects more than anything! ive watched him grout many times so i figured i'd try that on my own. he was impressed with me
Ceptorman
Excellent job man. It's a lot of work but will pay off. That pic with all your speakers all lined up looks mean, I can only imagine what it sounds like. Has this cut into your bike riding time? Scrappydue
time to hang all the trim up! its coming together now. and the flash seems to show his mud job around outlets but those are not the slightest bit visible in normal lighting. i didn't even notice them till today putting these photos on my computer.

Scrappydue
screen hung and now i can measure what size panels i need to make. garage looks terrible. house has been repainted however i havent had time to get to the garage yet. but i did get time ti get my panels started. measure 5 times cut once. bought enough wood for all four panels, however i screwed up and cut one of the ten footers. so only could do three that day...
