getech
I have a long rectangular room and can only place my surrounds along the back wall. Would I be better off using a pair of book shelf speakers or go for the RS speaker with its wider dispersion? thanks!
The History Kid
The RS would at least allow for wide dispersion of sound. I'd personally go for the RS.
derrickdj1
Stands or wall mounts are needed for the RB speakers. The RS can be wall mounted easily and will sound just as nice. Some people like to angle the surrounds but, it is not necessary, just a preference.
Moderators Youthman Posted September 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 5, 2014 My vote is for RS as well. What is it about your side walls that prevents you from being able to mount them there?

Thanks for the feedback! My room can't accommodate RS on the side walls because of windows on one side of the room and just don't want the wires nor have the space to wall mount. Moderators Youthman Posted September 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 5, 2014 The reason I ask is I have a double sliding glass door. I had a friend of mine build me a custom mount for it. And here is the RS-62 installed using the above mount. You can see lots of photos and details here and here.
getech
Youthman, very impressive solution! Unfortunately for me, my HT also serves as my home office during the day so your solution wouldn't work for me. Great looking HT!
Moderators Youthman Posted September 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 5, 2014 Youthman, very impressive solution! Thanks...wish I could take the credit for the idea. Wakejunkie designed and fabricated it. Unfortunately for me, my HT also serves as my home office during the day so your solution wouldn't work for me. Understand. Great looking HT!
