rob755
Hi, A while back I purchased all the parts I need to build my own RB-75's (yet un-built), at the time as a replacement for my RB-5's for HT mains. I'm now wondering how they woud fare as FOH "mains" for smaller venue public address work for my wife and I who have a folkish duo. I would be crossing them over using 1 or 2 subs. Anyone here know what kind of SPL's the RB-75's are capable of? I can't find any SPL ratings anywhere...Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated! Thanks! beeker
grab the cheap meter from parts express and let us know. That would be interesting...I'l try to take a meter into my local store and see what I can get them up to lol Yours being custom would likely show some slight differences in spl maybe higher or lower... I imagine they could get up to about 114db with a little distortion indoors from about 5ft away

Don Richard
http://www.klipsch.com/rb-75-bookshelf-speaker/details Frequency Response: 42Hz-20kHz (+-)3dB SENSITIVITY: 97dB @ 2.83 volts/1 meter POWER HANDLING: 150 w max continuous (600 w peak) Theoretically 117 dB continuous. Don't know what they would sound like at that SPL though. Edited September 8, 2014 by Don Richard
