Awsom71
Craigslist find ... Pristine Heresys for $300.00 HWO - Walnut Oiled S/N 164Y419 & 420 Not sure but I think they are from 1983. Can someone confirm ? I noticed too that the serial numbers are also stamped on the top ridge of the cabinets as well. I have had a couple pairs of HBR's in the past but they never had the stamp on the cabinet.

Awsom71
Not sure what to do with them ... Every room in the house that you would want to listen to tunes in already has a set of Klipsch. I just couldn't pass up a good deal like that. Not too bad to have for some speaker redundancy.
Budman
1983 ( Y ) was the last year they stamped the serial numbers into the wood so your previous HBR's must have been 84 and later how about these http://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-Klipsch-Heresy-1-HWO-Loudspeaker-K-22-EF-K-77-Walnut-Oiled-/111465410761? ClaudeJ1
Heck Claude, $650 tops with your "super mod" would be more like it!! THAT would be a deal..... Only to those who are not "purists." This is where they believe that the only engineers that can make improvements had to work for Klipsch. Nowadays there are enough affordable computer tools. knowledge, and experienced ears to make those improvements, not like the 50's and 60's where old Jensen nomograms were the only tools (they more or less invented bass reflex). Even PWK said that with Spectrum Analyzers, the hardest part of measurments were moving the furniture. LOL. I spent time in his lab and was drooling over those expensive tools almost 30 years ago. That guy that looks like my son next to PWK in my Avatar was me back then. LOL.
