johnnydrama
I would guess the performance of these are similar to the SW-110, SW-112. and SW-115 that they replace. But I will say they look much nicer IMO!
CECAA850
Good looking bunch for sure. I wonder if they're getting their amps from a different source now?
Administrators Chad Posted September 22, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted September 22, 2014 more re-coloured same old... With respect, this is simply not true.
Sancho Panza
So they are improved! Good, very good. In what ways? Specs sure look nearly identical for the SW-115 & the New 15". 'Course, if you wanna send me one of each, I'll write an extensive review.
derrickdj1
Nice looking subs. This should compliment the new and old Reference line. Thanks Chad.
K5SS
R-115SW and the SW-115 appear to have the same specs. I hope something is in the works for a "high end" line of Reference subs...

wvu80
From the link Chad provided: The R-115SW subwoofer is the perfect combination of power, sophisticated and heart-pounding bass. Packing a seriously punch, the R-115SW will not only wake your neighbors, it'll piss them off. The way only Klipsch can. (bolding mine) Klipsch didn't insert the vulgarity thoughtlessly, and I'm sure they have deliberate reasons for using that exact phrase. I'll speak for myself, I don't like it; I find it tasteless. It's 1970's thinking. In fact, it's 1970's thinking that didn't work even in the 1970's. I already have a Klipsch sub, but with that kind of advertising it doesn't make me feel like I want to buy another. I'm just not the kind of person who has such anger, that I want to buy a product just to piss off another human being.
oldenough
That's exactly what I thought when I saw it...I just don't think that is needed in advertising...Sorry.

No idea why I would want to piss off my neighbors.
The History Kid
Yeah, no thanks...I'll stick with my Polks. Have not been a fan of the Reference subs since the RSW series.

Heritage_Head
If the 15" can be had for 500ish it will be a good value. 70% of 900 would be 630ish Not bad if money really tight.
Guest Steven1963
something is in the works I have the RSW-15. If Klipsch is working on a replacement for that is there a place I can pre-order? I love that sub but it's a bit long in the tooth electronics-wise and I'd rather put monies into a new sub than fixing an old one.

Another write up from somebody that has only read about klipsch...not hearing the item for themselves. Have a tech create the write up. The write up does sound very immature and not linked to knowledge of the product whatsoever. A desk employee Regardless I do believe Chad has done a very good job informing the forum.
