Do any of you have some crossover recommendations for this setup?  I have read everything I can about the different setups used around here but most of those posts are a few years old.  Any recommendations on something that might allow me to run a 5.1 theater built from these 2-way bells that I can time align and adjust?  I think I need a 5 in 10 out I would like to do it with one piece of electronics, but I don't know if that is best either.  Preferably something new, maybe a miniDSP.  I might need to lean on someone to help me get it set up correctly too.

I'd go analog too, will the ALK steep slope x-overs work?  That give me a 2-way or 3-way option and be easier I think, but am I cutting a corner?

Thanks!

Joe

I have been looking at the Ashly stuff as it can be had new.  I can find (2) EV DX38 used and with shipping about the same 3-6 the Ashly.  Any thoughts on this?

DJK, you have had yours for a bit now, any changes or if you had to do it over?

Would have the port come out of the riser base,

would have custom 8's made (it's a quad 8 PPSL, not a single 15),

Use the elliptical tweeter and make it a three-way (or redesign the elliptrac to have a quadratic throat, a conical section, and then go to tractrix at the mouth).

I have two DX38's.

Mark1101 has commented before the merits of having more inputs/outputs.  I fully agree with him.

In the beginning, a single Dx38 was fine.  I then decided to do a 2-way JubeScala center.  I need something for it.  I now have two Danley DTS-10's and need something for them.

So now with two Dx38's, I have four inputs and eight outputs.  With the various speakers, I need 2 inputs for the Jubilee's, one input for the center and two for the Danley's so I need a total of 5 inputs and eight outputs.

Nice except I only have four inputs.  (I might sell a Danley or if I can get it past the wife, use them on the same signal)

So, get more I/O's than you think you will need because you never know what may happen in the future.
