zipper
After a resounding failure trying to buy a pair of K-Horns earlier this year it looks like I am on my way for a pair of Cornwall I speakers. Im a bit more happy this time because although the K-Horns are the eclipse of vintage Klipsch they were a bit pricey and I was already reconfiguring my living space to accomodate two corners. Ill work with the Cornwalls and don't foresee any problems. At the ready is a KSW-300 Sub. Price is 650 CDN and I am waiting on pics of serial number for final verification of age. Hopefully in a few short days Ill be the new owner of some Cornwall's. Money and delivery in place. Pics ... All comments are welcome.

zipper
Yup... I'm there. Just waiting for the seller to contact me back. Sent him email with offer and pick up and or delivery accommodations. My idea is get them home and enjoy. I currently own Bryston and a pair of Kef 104/2 towers. Looking for a new sound, something faster and more accurate. I will start with probably upgrading the caps. Then a small tube amp to play with. Hope its a successful sale. Guest Steven1963
Listen to them for a while before you start making changes. Some people like the horn, some don't. Also, I don't own CWs but my understanding is that you won't need that KSW-300 sub?
Dr Morbius
Yes, to my ears there's enough bass from that 15 inch woofer and they sound great with my Scott amp (only 28 watts per, which is plenty!)
TJIann
Outstanding! Congratulations. I bet you will love them. Just awesome speakers.

zipper
Quick question. Whats the overall sound difference from the Early 1970-80's Cornwalls to the current versions. Its not night and day, but subtle... right. I sold these guys back in the 80's when I did "Retail Hell" Little did we know the stuff we sold in the late 70's(before my selling time) to the 80's would be so valuable today. I really should have kept some old choice units on shelves unopened till recently. Me and my old bosses have good times drinking the odd beer and remembering the old days of Audio Retail. Good times.... thanks for all the comments. siting on pins and needles waiting on a reply from my trusted old friend. Fingers crossed he can come through with the goods. boxerjake
Canada seems to be a good place for purchasing Cornwalls for decent bucks .... There is a pair of Cornwall II on Kijiji Edmonton right now for $750.00 ... Another pair sold last week for $500.00 and a few weeks before that , a pair sold for $425.00 I bought a second pair a few years back and stole them for $300.00 Cornwalls and Heresey's come up pretty often on Kijiji in Alberta , I bought a pair of Forte II not long ago for $100.00 Good luck with your new find .... zipper
WhOOP ) All is in place and just waiting fingers crossed. 1 Seller accepted sale and terms 2 My buyer has agreed to the terms and is willing to pick up and pay for speakers. The DEAL is Saturday between 10-12 noon I anxiously await a text from my good friend in Ottawa on the success of the purchase. Unfortunately he is a PURE COMPUTER engineer and has little affinity for AUDIO so he does not realize the gravity of the deal. They are just a big pair of speakers to him..... "Chris.. whats the big deal about these things that you want them so bad for.??" Thanks all Chris Ill post as soon as I have them but it will not be before Christmas.
