Jason Brown
I *think* my 5.1 is working, but I really seem to have no way of testing. I have the Diamond MX300 and I'm using Power DVD for playback. Is this set up working? Is there anything else I need to do? If anyone has a DVD where the rear channels are used copiously, let me know. I can't seem to find any DVD where I can easily tell what is front and what is rear. Thanks, Jason
Seb
You probably need to enable 4 speaker sound in your sound card setup, and also in PowerDVD.
Jason Brown
Sound Card Setup is set for 4 speakers. PowerDVD has no option.
Seb
"PowerDVD has no option"??? you really tried going in configuration/audio while the player was stopped? that's odd... or do you have some kind of shareware/pirated version?
Jason Brown
Well, I updated Power DVD and found it. Sorry about that.. all is good now. Thanks very much for your help.

hytek
Power DVD is not a good DVD software. Try Asus2000. You will get better picture quality and framerates.
Jason Brown
Does is have the 5.1 downmixing I need for my Promedias? If so, then does it have a free trial that supports all the features. And, where can I get it? Thanks for the tip!
hytek
I got it free with my videocard. Check out www.asus.com. my card is the V7700 Deluxe. It is one of the best GTS cards available. best of luck ------------------ Hytek hytek369@hotmail.com
