THC
I got the 4.2's in on Friday, and I can honestly say I'm impressed. Of course I was upgrading from the crappy infinity speakers my computer came with. Will install my wall mounts when I get off of work today The only real complaint I have about them is that the DIN cables aren't very long. I understand that the 2.1 system was never made with the intention of putting your speakers behind you, but this makes speaker placement more based on DIN wire length than it does on sound. It's kind of a trade off between how far you place your rear sub behind you, and how well you want to hide the wires. How hard would it be to make some sort of DIN extension cable? Skute
Why does everyone talk about the 2.1's not being as good because they have less power; power is not what defines good sound...if that were so wouldn't the klipsch be 4x better than the sirocco crossfire's? Moderators Amy Posted March 19, 2001 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2001 The v2-400 uses a different size din plug than the 2.1, so the ps2 cable will not work. There is a cable you can TRY (I say try because there have been some complaints of it's "antennae-like" qualities and picking up electrical interferences), which is available at www.americandj.com. The American DJ stock number for this cable is DIN-EX25 - (25 foot length) $24.95 --Amy
