ProMedia 2.1 Subwoofer not working past certain point

Strange, pulling out the big plug from the back of the subwoofer (I guess for the control knobs) and plugging it back in with the power on fixed it. I've had nothing but strange behavior from these speakers and I've only owned them for 5 hours. I hope this isn't an ongoing deal, might have to return them. I had an old pair of Logitech 2.1 speakers that lasted me 10 years with no hiccups like this.

Future reference, don't do this.  To any speaker.  Always make sure things are turned off before unplugging and plugging things in.  Not doing so can cause even more damage than originally observed.

An excellent design with poor materials. I am glad i changed all electrolitic capacitors and transistors with good ones, threw away  those bad quality components that populated the boards. Did this 5 years ago, and they still work. It was expensive to do that, but it's worth.
