Rocko81
Hi All, I'm looking around for a sub to go with my RF-63. There are a couple local to me at the same price ($300). I was hoping someone could offer me up some guidance or opinions on either of these subs and which would be better with my 63's It'll only be used for HT. Velodyne CT-150 15" M&K MX-125 MKii Or are neither of these a good option? Thanks! Edited January 9, 2015 by Rocko81
K5SS
How big is your room? Is that setup going to me mainly for HT or music? Is $300 your max budget? Both of those models are pretty old so you are taking somewhat of a risk with either option.
willland
Rocko81, Your RF-63's deserve a highly musical, tight, and accurate subwoofer to complement their highly musical, tight, and accurate presentation. Based on price of course, may I suggest these used subs that go for around $400.00 to $700.00. Moderators Youthman Posted January 9, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2015 Agree with willland. My first Velodyne was CT-100 (10" version of the one you are considering). CT was Velodynes entry level subs about 10 -15 years ago. As mentioned, this sub is pretty old. I've also owned two HGS15. Great subs but I sold them both after buying one Klipsch RSW-15. Yes it's that good. Key is to be patient.
Scrappydue
I've ran dual Svs ultras, rt-10d, rsw-10d, and diy 18's with my 63's. Each was great until I heard better. lol it never ends. Save up and buy a good one from the start.

Moderators Youthman Posted January 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 11, 2015 Start a new thread on the 5.5's. Agreed, that way this thread stays on topic. How much do used RSW 15s normally go for? Depends on where you live, how badly the seller needs cash etc. "Typically", between $600 - $800. Two recently sold on Ebay for $600 + $100 shipping. A New in Box one just sold for $1900. Link Currently, there are not any RSW-15 listed nationwide on Craigslist. These are getting harder and harder to come by.
