I just showed this to the wife, you know the first and only thing she thing said?

"Do we need to take a second on the house and when do we leave ?"  Good Wife :emotion-21:

Miner, incredible wife!  Or . . . just seeing how much trouble you really are willing to bring down on yourself.

The short of the story is, i just happened to do something really right a couple years ago.

As stated above, i was willing to fly to ANY state, rent/buy a truck and fetch MCMs and the like.

Hunting/Searching for a year plus, i figured the wife would like her own system in the house, so, that is what i worked on for a few months.

Chores 1s, with tuber Mono blocks and she was expressing being very pleased, and ran this for a year.

Still shopping for my McMs, i came across Khorns, 89, for a grand!, local!

So she got upgraded, now im not to touch her system, been given the "Word".

Since dialing her system in from the getgo, it's like i can do ANYTHING i want in the cave, and have.

She never ask if im done.

Pretty cool, learned by happenstance, Build her system first ;)

Smart man.  Unusual (?) wife in that regard?  Have no idea, really, if the ladies are as often interested in AV stuff as the guys, or not.  Does not seem likely, but I do not know.  I do know my own wife asks only that she "not hear static".  Anything else, she is fine.  Would be interesting if there were some sound data, or better yet, some responses from female forum members.  Am not aware that I know any women who really are involved, either.

My wife Erin likes her Celtic music, and im talkin cranked, TOS feed from the PC into the System.

She does not care for the 5.1 i set up five years ago moving in the new house. so AV, she could care less.

Just emailed them to see what they want for a pair of the MWM's.  We will see, maybe I will pull a Mark and drive to St. Louis hey for the right price anything is possible. But first I shall check here locally as there is a fella that might have something similar, maybe a single MWM.

Hmmmm, interesting.  Have a "wee bit o' Scottish roots, meself."  My sister claimed that the 5.1 system I set up for her husband and her may have saved their marriage, as there frequently was "competition" between the bro-in-law wanting to hear what he wanted to hear on the TV in a very large great room, and my sister who often would be going back and forth into the large kitchen, often talking with one or more friends in there.  Each would find it necessary to raise the volume to compensate for the latest volume increase of the other.

The 5.1 enabled my B-I-L to hear his programs at a reasonable level, and my sister not go crazy with his volume, as she talked in the kitchen.  The 5.1 kept both from having to "shout", or have it feel like there were dueling volume controls . . . .

Hey, Duder, am glad that it may work out for you.  Let us know.

When I put that CL ad up, I figured that someone might have an interest!

Female here! I'm the one who is interested in audio, my husband doesn't care about it. He is nice enough to buy me speakers though. I wish he was into it like all the men on here. I wouldn't complain one bit!

You can see what speakers I have in my sig and right now I am waiting on Fedex to get here with a pair of RB75s for my bedroom.

Jim, I'm in the Baton Rouge area.

CEC, got them off ebay. Was asking $895 or best offer. Offered $650 and he accepted. I missed out on the ones that were posted here a few weeks ago because hubby said No. I had $350 from Christmas money and told him I'd use that and sell some things on craigslist to make up the rest.

Sadie, well done!

Lived in NO for 4 years, leaving in 1961, for the West Coast (father Navy).

Heck, the bridge over the Mississippi was completed during that time.  Before that it was "ferry across the Mercy, er, Mississippi").

CEC, glad you were able to sit that one out?
