Absolutely ZERO hissing sound with both Denons that I've... 

 

Sounds like your AVR is the culprit as these are passive speakers to begin with...

 

Unless the whole system as in Pre-Pro are matched with each other, the pre-amp outs and amplifier ins might cause an issue. Not to mention it's a pricy affair. You might want to start looking into a good AVR, probably with 0.05% Total Harmonic Distortion.

lol... Wish I had a space for that underneath my TV. I contemplated few times to lay down one of my RF-7 II and see how it sounds...

 

That said, there is a distinct difference between RC-64 II and RF-7 II. RC-64 II is a sealed speaker with a tapered array crossing over at 1100Hz and 1400Hz while RF-7 II is a ported speaker crossing over at 1200Hz. Per Klipsch specifications, the RC-64 II goes quite low upto 59Hz  - it's a beast bringing my HT alive :D, but imagine going as low as 30Hz with RF-7 II :)
