Ceptorman
Is anyone watching this series? It's a spinoff from Breaking Bad. Bob Odenkirk plays a great D-bag, he really nails that character. I think the 1st episode was very good, there's a great list of characters, and a surprise.

The Dude
I don't know, it was ok. I like how they incorporated all the characters. But I just wasn't feeling it, maybe I need to warm up to it.
Max2
Got it on DVR, but haven't watched yet. I hope it lives up to its potential, but people are expecting it to be as good or close to BB which will be a tough one to follow considering how big of a shadow it cast.

TasDom
I hope it does well. BB was shot here as is BCS and is a big infusion to the state and local economy.
Ceptorman
Remember BB started out a little slow also. I doubt this show will be as long running as BB.
Audible Nectar
It might need a few shows to simmer, but I think there's too much talent and potential to not be worth the while. The show is already signed on for a second season - sounds like the creators like how things are going. Apparently lots of eyeballs saw this, biggest cable series premiere to date. Ceptorman
I liked the 2nd episode. This series seems to be more comedy based than BB. Implementing some of the same actors as BB is interesting.

CECAA850
There has to be some straight people to play off of. That may be Mike eventually.
CECAA850
This is a prequel, right? Correct. 2 of the characters I've seen already were killed in BB.
jimjimbo
Still haven't been able to watch, but recorded both last night, along with the last episode of BB.....I loved that show.
Gilbert
Enjoyed both episodes..... Loved the way they ended the first episode with Tuco peering out the door. And I'd like to know when the guy working in Cinnabon that they showed in the (future glimpse) of opening seen is going to come into play. Not to mention when is James McGill going to become Saul Goodman. Personally, I think Vince Gilligan knows what he's doing, and has it all under control. No need for sofa directing, armchair production pro's, he's got the people, he's got the credentials. No need for sofa directing, armchair production pro's, he's got the people, he's got the credentials. The guy in the first scene is Saul, after the BB eascape that he made. In the present, he is a wreck and in hiding. I liek the show but not too crazy about stretching to put characters from BB into the show. Reminds me of the Start Wars crap where everyone from the original 3 was somehow already linked. What garbage, C3PO and R2D2 were Darth Vaders's droids when he was a kid? They didn't do this in the Godfather trilogy.
Gilbert
Thanks Tiger, I thought the Cinnabon fellow looked a lot like Saul, but didn't put the connection together that he was somehow in hiding, and that this was a direct take-off from Breaking Bad. I suspect(ed) that scene will/would be played out later in the series, just as was Gilligan's style in BB. Unless of course you're correct, and that's all there is too it. I'm not sure how he could be in hiding, since he was already a well known and relatively prominent atty in BB, in the same state, and same city. FWIW, back in Dec. of last year there was an interview with producer Vince Gilligan, and as I understood him to say, the "Better Call Saul" series was going to be written as a completely new series, independent of Breaking Bad, but that some of the same actors would be used.
