The History Kid
Some nice glass bowing you got there Trent. I'll be joining the rest of the 21st century this week myself.
Trentster5172
I will brace that tomorrow after I get the XPA-1L's in there. That's a piece of glass that's suppose to hold 60 plus pounds. There's only like 35 pounds on it and it's bowing pretty good- lol. Piece of $&@/!
twistedcrankcammer
I enjoy my RF-7ii system for music listening but lately, I've found myself listening to the LaScala's for music. They are just hard to beat. Youth, I know you have subs, but you really need to hear a pair of Klipschorns without a sub next to LaScalas without a sub, there is a lot of imformation missing between 35 Hz and 50 Hz! Trentster5172
I agree! The tight deep accurate bass from a Klipschorn is incredible! And right now I still have my LaScalas. The Lascalas without subs don't hold a candle to my Khorns when listening to music. It's all in the deep, tight, accurate bass! Moderators Youthman Posted February 16, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2015 Roger, I would love to hear Khorns without a sub but almost any speaker would spank the LaScalas in the bottom end. It just isn't there. The only khorns I've heard were Deafbykhoens when I bought his Parasound HCA2205a amp. He had it hooked up to all McIntosh gear and a Velodyne DD18. minermark
Outstanding designs guy's. If there is a need later in life for my OWN HT, i know where to come for advice. Meanwile, i like following your "Improvments"
Moderators Youthman Posted February 16, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2015 Trent, your room looks fantastic and I bet it sounds fantastic as well. Have you ever considered going with a 2.35:1 screen? That would look incredible in your setup if you watch a lot of bluray content.

Moderators Youthman Posted February 16, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2015 Ah, I didn't think about the projector. That's one of the main reasons why I went with the Panasonic. The Sony was manual zoom and less bright.
Trentster5172
Thanks much!!! Yep the projector won't allow it. My new Sony walks all over my Mitsubishi HC-7000 except in black levels and the 2:35-1. I've considered the screen for sure, but it will have to come later. Maybe a good upgrade when I go 4K in a few years. I upgrade once a year at tax return time so I'm done for the year. Next year I would like to get the Emotiva XMC-1 and an XPA-5 amp, or just keep my Fusion and get an XSP-1 for analog two channel bliss. Trentster5172
I was going to grab my wife's Canon 60D and take some pics today, but she is using it at the moment- lol. Here are some overall shots with my new XPA-1L's installed. Oh, and a brace installed in my rack to fix the sagging glass. MercedesBerater
Trent- curious what dimension is your room? (And are the dual 15's plenty to fill it to adequate SPl levels for HT?)
Trentster5172
18.5' by 48' and yes it's plenty. In fact they are only turned up to 4 out of 11. 0 in the receiver. Edited February 17, 2015 by Trentster5172
