Bard
I'm planning on putting together a 2.1 system in the next month or so. (saving the $$ right now). I'm pretty new to this so I would appreciate any input. I'm looking at getting a pair of RB-61 II 's and I would like opinions on which sub would compliment them best. I was looking at the R-12SW, but I also was the Synergy sub-12 which is cheaper, and rated at higher RMS wattage. I'm looking for good all around performance, probably more music than movies. Thanks in advance for the input/suggestions Bard
willland
Bard, Welcome to the forum. I have not heard the R-12SW but I would definitely not suggest the Sub-12 for music. The RB-61II's are very musical with tight punchy bass so you need a sub of similar qualities to integrate seamlessly. If you can find a used RSW-10 or 10d in your price range go get it. Scrappydue
I'd skip the sub -12 as well and even the R12sw. if music is a priority Id personally skip on a Klipsch sub unless you can find an older RSW model. Look into a Svs sb-12nsd. They are in the Svs outlet center I believe right now. I had one and its a super tight sweet sub. Perfect for rb-61ii. Hope you find a sweet deal in those as well since they are discontinued.

Klipschsonian
How bout a Michael Jordan setup. That's a 2.3 system with 3 10" subs or you can refer to that setup as the triple double.
Bard
after much more research I'm going the svs route for a sub. at some point down the road (after the wife adjusts to her first sub) I may add a second (or third). can't go wrong with a triple double.
