Anyone have mid-1960's K-Horns? Early K-400 horns...

Some time, later on I think, Klipsch began flush-mounting the K-77 tweeters.  That was done by enlarging the rectangular opening for the tweeter, installing Z-mount brackets which stepped out the tweeters and made their fronts more or less flush with the midrange front flange.

 

This apparently improved the blend and smoothness of the MR-tweeter interface, as I understand it.  It had some of that effect on mine.

In years far past I posted "weekend reading."  It was a collection of articles.
