Klipsch KC 25 Icon Center Speaker

I've had my KC 25 enter channel speaker for nearly three years now. Just recently something went out on it. I noticed the vocals started getting really distorted and muffled.

I narrowed it down to the right driver and possibly the horn tweet, though I've never heard of those faulting.

I bought these along with the Klipsch Kf 28 Icon tower speakers at the same time. I don't have the receipt, and I keep all receipts.

I know Best Buy and Klipsch must have a deal together being this model center was exclusively sold at Best Buy.

I'm wondering if they would exchange this center for the same center they sell in store. Equal specs/price.

This is really bothering me. I don't want to have to send my only center off for a replacement or fix.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the long read [emoji4]

If Best Buy operates how any other retail store works, it'd be a case for the manufacturers warranty, and not the store after the return period ends.  As for the receipts, Klipsch requires a proof of purchase for any warranty service.  You might see if you can get a copy if you used Reward Zone.

Welcome to the forum btw.

Good luck

Thanks for the quick reply. I purchased these items with gift cards and cash. And honestly I don't think I used reward zone. I do now of course. I'm a pretty known shopper at this store so I'm hoping that with their deal with Klipsch may help my case.

ps

-thanks for welcome as well.

Not a problem at all.

I think their POS will let them have receipts accessible up to 6 months prior.  If you're good friends with the manager, you might be able to get him to dig around and see if he can track that transaction down.  Try to narrow your date of purchase for him, along with the quantity of gift cards...you might be in luck still.

Even if it is a Best Buy exclusive, it wouldn't change the corporate policy of return, and the agreement of when a product is purchased - after the return period, it's the responsibility of the manufacturer to take care of repairs and exchanges instead of the store in question.
