^ Those look slightly weird to... unlike my cane. maybe its just the photograph

I dont have my cane grills on my walnut cornwalls. I am just going to keep them in the closet.

Nah, Shu, they really do look like that with that sparse dark strip here and there. Kind of gives them that early 60's look :) . But I keep mine stored too since they don't match the room's decor. Russ set me up with some grill boards and my wife and I did the rest to make a pair with the Klipsch cloth and that fit Dave's mid horn. Not on at this pic but they look very factory without the badges.

Is that a standard Cornwall 1? If so is that mid horn a nice upgrade?

Well, yes and no. ;)  It's an 84' CW1 cab but it came with CW2 internals. Some call it the CW 1.5 ( I think Colter came up with that).

But, yes, I an very glad I did the mid horn upgrade (plus, it gave me an excuse to go out and buy a router and a few bits, LOL!!). The biggest part about doing it is measure, measure, measure, measure and measure again. I must have spent over an hour measuring to get it just right. In fact, that mid horn is more "on center" than the woofer cut out from the factory.

Sound-wise the Atlas PD5VH (K55's) drivers I bought from NorthernLight are quite a bit smoother than the K57K's that were in there. Alas, I did go through (and still going through) that period where a lot of my CD's now sound like crap due to the increased detail of this setup. But don't let that stop ya!
